and formed a FC United of Sheffield of something similar!

Lets face it we have been shit for years, with more certain to come, I would rather take back the club from the incompetence that is strangling our club. Would like to hear your thoughts.. I would be up for putting a few quid in of my own to start this.

Just behave .

UTB

Are you really that fed up with the club? Nobody was no frustrated than I was last week but a complete overhaul? Really?

FC United fans seem to think it has been a huge success, most say they enjoy the game even more and could not be happier, and MUFC were actually very successful. Mark my words they will be over us in the football pyramid in 10 years.

In all honesty, this crossed my mind as well, but more in terms of the curse we seem to be under.

A few quid? Just how much were you prepared to dedicate to this resurrection? £100, £200, £1000? In this day and age, a couple of grand may just about cover the cost of painting some of the outside of the ground. But back to your master-plan for delivering a new age at SUFC, more detail would help, especially as you're prepared to offer some of your own money.

not so much my masterplan, in would need to be a collective, with a dedicated team, but FC United show it can be done, and what a job they have done.

Yes I would be prepared to put in a few grand if like minded individuals would get involved.

Sorry, apart from a gesture that reeks of Roy Of The Rovers idealism, what exactly have FC United actually done to shake the foundations of MUFC, or football in general? This plan might need several re-thinks.

They have had several promotions already, and have just built there own ground. They will be in the conference north next year, just three leagues below us. They are a complete cooperative, 1 membership = 1 vote. It is not about challenging Man Utd, it is about taking back the club for the supporters and enjoying football once more.

I'm sure 35% of the forum may join you. Mind you they are very loud, very negative, live in the shoutbox on a Saturday afternoon and will be at one or two matches a season.
I think you will find most of the 35% go to the matches. I do - been a ST holder for years. I can only assume the 65% includes a lot of exiles who haven't witnessed this season's rubbish.

Yes. And you and any more of your no cell moronic mates can go with you.

you are easily pleased, you must be you have Doyle as your avatar. worst performing player in out history who oversaw such lows. Me, I want to see something different.

I've got a reyt idea...

You stop supporting the Blades then you won't need to use Blades' forums anymore.

Most of us would have a second club to fall back on if the worst happened - Sheffield FC

Off you go then, bye
oh I do intend to do so.......whatever.

You are right....there might only be you, Macabe and Phipps left on here!

I'm sure there's blokes on here who've seen much more and much worse than you while following the Blades. I doubt one of them has ever wanted to kill the manager or start a new club because they're fed up. Stop being daft.

Apart from the proposed idea for this footballing revolution, has any concrete work been done on a new ground and it's ownership, the costings that will surround this new enterprise, the work necessary to promote this new enterprise, and so on.....or is the suggestion that a meeting is held, say the Quaker Meeting House, advertise said meeting (who'll pay for advertising this meeting?), and see if the initial interest is enough to go forth and swell the ranks of this new enterprise? I see a long and rocky road ahead.....but dreams have to begin somewhere, and the content of your discontent seems enough for you to wave the flag for football purists with a zeal that won't be deterred or deflected.

Go to it my son, show us rabble how wrong we are. Reinvent the idea of a Sheffield United that somehow manages to create it's own legend, attracting supporters from far and wide, showing the world just how easy it is to make a dream come to life.

I can remember the dark days of div 4, somehow they did not seem as bad as this, we did have some hope, and we saw some good football and have fond memories. for years now, we have been drained of hope and lets face it, the football is dire. if you are content with that, it says far more about you than me.

all stores have to start with a beginning. Maybe if there is some like minded individuals I may offer my services do just that, it is the appetite fro change that counts.. AFC and FC both had this. The alternative is to do nothing and have more of the same, that is not taking back the club, it is settling for all the things you would rather not have.

What's this "we" you talk of? You want to set up a rival team, some bunch of players to play along to your tune? Crack on then, and find a forum for like minded useful idiots, I am a Blades fan, for better or for worse.

And that says all I need to know about you.

for worse you mean then.....or does it get much worse than losing to Fleetwood. it would indeed be blades still, just not under this management. Do you think the founders of AFC thought 'bugger this we are Wimbledon, we just pop off to MK every week? too bloody right they did not. they stood up for their club and said fuck the losers than manage our club, and they have done a brilliant job, Like I said FC United will be above us in 10 years, of that I have no doubt.
