Dear Lindsay

Thank you for your email asking me to sign the Early Day Motion 1464. As Deputy Minister for Women and Equality I am unable to sign Early Day Motions [Linz: Thought it was only fully fledged Ministers who couldn't... anyway]. I do think it that it is very difficult to find justice in the decision made by the Premier League, and I have personally spoken to Clive Betts and offered my support in what he is doing.

I you feel I can assist you further with any other matter, please don't hesitate in contacting me.

Yours sincerely

Meg Munn MP

Nice to get a response anyway :)

Meg Munn was in my class at junior school.

Just thought I would share this astounding fact with you all.

:D

Pissing in the wind, pissing in the wind, we are all just pissing in the wind.

MP's couldnt give a toss.

Mainly coz MP's are impartial and cant get involved in these matters.

Which is why the likes of Richard Caborn cant get involved or even comment on the matter and he is a blade.

Erm... if they were impartial, they wouldn't be MPs. Being a Minister means you stand for all kinds of principles.

I think you're slightly confused as to why t'old Dick can't sign... he is the Minister for Sport and so couldn't sign an EDM anyway. The reason he won't get involved is because he has to be seen to be supportive of the institutions and not rabble rousing.

What he publicly says and what he privately thinks however, are two different things. Do you really think he should put his job on the line for us?

Depends how much of a blade he is. :)

Also most ministers that already have been approched have all distanced themselves from getting inlvolved. Not that it wasnt worth asking but it seems rather a few dont want to know.

Does it make him any less of a blade if he doesn't ruin what he's worked all his life for to gain?

Whatever you think of him, he is indeed a big blades fan, i've seen that first hand.

I was jesting but i bet Sir Trev abused his position for West Ham. :)
