But according to that 'Blade' encouraged by Staton on Saturday ,Blades fans have had enough and are voting with their feet ? Don't know if that includes all those who left at half time though.

I'm surprised Staton didn't point out that the Scunthorpe win only added 200 to the gate.

Have Barnsley ever brought 6K to the Lane?
Not from memory - just a small town in Sheffield...........small town in Sheffield.
Anyway, great following and wish I was going now.
Hope the boys do the business - please don't let the fans down.

They don't know, they can only count to 10, 22 with their shoes and socks off.

It's a brilliant following. I wish I'd decided to go just to be a part of it.

Coul get a bit toxic if we lose and don't score though.

Could be difficult if the train barriers come down at the wrong time so to speak.

Safe trip to all.

Can anyone recommend a time to go to barnsley for If going bye train?

Bye train...Bye-eeee.. Damn! Missed it.

One last big effort from the fans I think.
Lose this without making any effort to win it and the damage to the fans morale and interest will disappear in 90 minutes. It's almost as though there's a feeling that "You cant blame us" going around.
It's game over if we lose in a pitiful manner without contributing to the game IMO.
And judging by Cloughs comments were certainly not going to be going for the win.
Not going for the win will mean the same as it nearly always does............A borefest that will end up with our resolve being broken eventually from the only shot on target

They had 8,000 at the Cup game in 1990, but when they played us in the league they were back to their usual paltry following. The only other time I remember them taking many around 5,000 in the season they went up to the Prem. This seasons effort was pretty good for them.

But ask those retarded chimps and it's our away support that is poor based on our once taking around 2,000 there at the end of a non-entity of a season. They conveniently forget the number of times we've sold that away stand out.

Ticket available for Saturday if anyone decides they want to go afterall.

Sounds like it'll be a cracking following on Saturday, can't wait really and it's reminding me a bit of when we played at Millmoor, Easter Saturday 1984. I'd take the same result 1-0 Blades but who's going to take the super sub Bob Atkins role for the last minute winner! COYRAWW

Shocking how 30 plus years has gone in a flash! The Saturday after was Southend away when fanny Arnott scored the winner 5 mins from the end, he seemed to go on a run from the halfway line before cooly slotting home. Always remember 2 minutes later they seemed certain to equalise until Cockerill came from nowhere to block the shot on the goal line.

remember that day well - we were in toytowns main stand - standing at the front.

Bob Atkins took it with back to goal, turned on a six pence and smashed it in, in front of the Blades fans.

Twas then we realised we weren't the only ones in that stand.

Great goal, great day - fantastic to be a Blade.
