Clearly he and Jim are getting paid, where from? The Plc rather than the FC?

Somewhere or other, Rodley. I would be surprised if all of this was charitable work. If it is, I ask if he wasn't doing what he does, would we still be being bummed by Fleetwood? Unless anyone can counter that one, them I am afraid my questions remain unanswered.

And, where is the evidence of this international sponsorship and talent? It is a completely salient question.

Fair play to him for the response. If he does it for nowt then fair enough. Though if he is willing to utilise his skills for free, cheeky as it may be I still would rather he did that here where he is more likely to be able to raise sponsorship opportunities.

Let me know if you need another dead horse to flog Pomps, there's s knackers yard a couple of miles from me. ;)

The Prince.

They were both business associates / advisors of the Prince before he came to BDTBL and will have their own income from their various business interests as well as being probably having an income from the Prince
Cant understand why people cant see this its so obvious

Exactly. To mirror Darren's comments, what the fuck do we have regarding sponsorship dealings and talent overseas? Do we not have qualified and certificated scouts for that, if we are at all recruiting overseas? Surely in our lowly position, being taken to bits by Peterborough and Fleetwood at home and struggling to justify a League One playoff position in and amongst a strengthening pack, seemingly hungrier and more mobile for the challenge with out playing staff now as dysfunctional as they were during Danny Wilson's era (hence, we have got nowhere, fast) the last place we should be looking at is hoiking in cash from foreign investment, much of which couldn't give a fat rats arse about Sheffield's second biggest club.

Because they don't want to understand?

Do you?

pommpey
No but I'm not shit-slinging. It's fine to back down, you know, admit you don't have a clue what's going on, accept that the wind has been knocked out of your sails and move on.

They clearly will be getting some payment from the Prince for this; I cannot for the life of me see why the Prince would say "hey lads I've bought a chronically underachieving British football club, want key roles in there on a totally voluntary basis?"

Oh and "just been told..."

He has definitely read this thread!

Good. I hope he understands that there are still some fans unconvinced by his role and wouldn't mind seeing some building blocks coming from him to justify that role.

And Rodley, there are no chips to be pissed on here, or dead horse to be flogged. You have not answered any questions in your defence, all that has been offered has been snapshots of a tweet (hurrah!) where he states he is not being paid by the club. There's not much evidence of his objectives and deliverables, mind.

Anyway, as in my last attempt to extricate some sort of sense from this, I can see the only dead horse is the one named 'Evidence', of which you have none.

If he isn't being paid by the club, why is he answerable to you?

True though. The point remains that I am sure our board of directors have many skills that could be utilised to improve the clubs position in the short term.

Baki's role, while honourable if for free, is not going to do that when his focus could be on other avenue's that have more chance of tangiable results. That is fair enough isn't it?

Should I do that? Why? Have you satisfied my questions about what he does and where the evidence is? Or are you shit slinging by categorising my comments as 'moaning like fuck'?

Answers would be good.

Because I am a supporter. All people at the club are. Players, Clough, the tea lady.

Or they can ignore my comments. Their choice.

You seem very defensive about this. Why? Do you have evidence we should be in the loop with?

It is fair enough but you could say Derek French would better serve the club as physio for the under 12s. That's not the role he has and it's not really our job to pick and choose what the club staff do on a daily basis, is it?

You've come on and slagged someone off for not doing their job on a public forum with no basis. I've questioned whether you can publicly judge someone with little evidence or understanding of their job and what it entails, because I don't think you can and I don't think it's fair.

Turn it in mate, this is painful to read.

Don't be ridiculous, Picker.

How did your application go for Man-on-the-Terrace-International-Executive, by the way?

He's a volunteer! What on earth does it matter? It seems to me like you've got the tiger by the tail with this, you just don't want to let go and even if he wrote to you directly with his objectives and deliverables I don't think you'd be happy. All you're left with is that you have a right to know what he's up to the same as you have a right to know what the tea lady is up to. She makes tea. Now sleep well!

It's just as painful (or more realistically and less dramatic) to see you submitting empty response after empty response. You are retorting to the ad hominem, which is always the defence of the undefendable. I am simply asking questions, you fail to answer them and retort to calling me an idiot.

Great debate.
