The whole sacking thing was embarrassing anyway. Even if we had of lost the past two games what good does it do any club chopping and changing managers all the time. Clough has now built a squad of his own players, the transfer window is closed so we can't strengthen lets get off the players back even if we go on another bad run and trust the club.

Apart from that plank 'Brian The Blade' I don't think anybody has ever advocated sacking NC.
Do we get frustrated/baffled/disappointed? Of course. It's all part of supporting a football team.

Put it this way. Wednesday fans would have wet themselves if we'd have got rid of Warnock too early. Ditto if we were daft enough to dispense of NCs services. It proves they're doing a good job for the Blades.

Would I be delighted if they got rid of Stuart Gray? Not at all. It might make them get a proper manager in.

Completely agree, Stuart Gray will always keep Wednesday where they are, doubt they would get relegated under him but can't see them going anywhere under him either.

With new owners they usually like to make an early statement of intent and that's usually bringing in a 'big name' manager in. I can see Gray's time running out unfortunately......

To be fair Graffers, I started a poll after Gillingham to try and gauge the extent of the "sack Clough" feeling. 6 out of 119 were for him being removed immediately.
I think that might be a reasonable reflection (5%) at any given time. There were some joining that thread suggesting it was a low number and that twitter chat between various supporters and Jim Phipps was more anti but that could just mean the emptiest vessels making the loudest noise (or just that plenty of absolute numpties that like to be heard on such a platform).

I don't think it's at all helpful to have threads like this (or the polar opposite) after every win/loss.

How things change in 10 days.

In Clough we should all trust ;0)

Never ever been a doubt . We all got exited after the Gillingham game , because the performance was totally unacceptable . This was eradicated at Bristol , and now on to Tuesday.
Gone are the days when we can chop and change managers . When you have the right one , you have to stick with him through thick and thin.

Clough OUT!!!! ha UP the Blades. Stand Tall......

3pts tomorrow no danger its a DONE deal

I'm not saying some on here are fickle, but ask again about 21.40 tomorrow Bob.

To be fair we haven't got much to moan about . Active board that keeps quiet ,and don't shoot themselves in the foot any more , happy chappy Jim Phelps , Good manager . Even better when we get out of shit Division 3.

Look at S6 .New board will have no money , more secretive than KGB , and the manager who kept them up , doesn't know if he will have a job , anytime now.

Could be worse , and count us blessings , being a blade.

You made me type this so its your fault Graf, hope you are pleased with your self but....

Gray is doing a good job, if we get up this season and find ourselves 10 points off the relegation battle at this time next season I'd be pleased and see it as progress.

Don't forget Gray unfortunatly played under CLough Snr so he had a good grounding.
It's all down to Grays personality wether he can deliver or not.

Look how you've upset me now Graf, hope you're proud.

:(

There is everything to suggest that Gillingham are having a purple patch - look at how Notts C/Oldham and Rochdale have all had them earlier on in the season. Gills turned MK Plastics over 4-2 and although most of us have a dislike of everything MK, MK are no mugs football wise and putting 4 past them proves the Gills are, at the moment, a decent team.

What Bristol showed is that we have a team with real backbone if needed and in these away games we should deploy it ALL the time. We don't need to be pretty away from home, just rock solid and hit them like we did on the break, Every team gets chances in a game, we just have to wait like we did v Bristol.

For me it's same old, same old v Notts C - and we owe them for being so pathetically defensive at our place. Never seen a team play so deep - they only just managed to get beyond their 18 yard box.

Or, as some muppet has just said on Football Heaven - 'In Gray we trust.' You and me both, pal. You and me both. ;)

Radio Sheffield not got many happy pigs on it , Grays getting some shite , in tonight s Star is a report they were booed off,

Fickleness is not just our demain , when we lose its all man the lifeboats , the end is nigh, we have no middle ground.

Its gone from glass half empty or half full to the dams burst or the lottery numbers have come up

Only the very few have come on here and said Clough should go immediate.

Even after Saturday Clough must deliver promotion this season nothing short of this.
He's wasted over half the season fucking about with tactics/ formation seving up absolute garbage week after week.
Surely now he knows the only way to win games is to be positive and he's made big steps with this in bringing in quality Brayford,Done,

I'm not saying some on here are fickle, but ask again about 21.40 tomorrow Bob.

I don't mind saying it... Everybody's fickle round here.

If we had lost 3-1on Saturday I would still want Clough to remain. He's building something good here. Some say he doesn't look very far and only signs players from Derby or who used to play at Derby. Is that not testament to the guy that so many players want to play for him?

Brayford has now played under him 4 times - Burton. Derby. Blades and Blades. Add to that list Freeman 3 times. Davies, Coutts and McEveley. Have I missed anyone?

Also been heavily linked with Steve Davies and Mason Bennett. Yes he brings in players he's worked with before but, they must want to play for him.

Absolutely!

Totally debunks the nonsense that gets spouted out about Clough being a bully. He's very demanding yes, as is any good manager. Nothing more than 100% will do. Imo, the good players like that. Also, the fact that he makes McEveley a captain when he was struggling for confidence, the fact that he backs those the fans make into a scapegoat and the fact that he allows Morgs the glory after Bristol, shows the measure of the man.
That is why players want to play for him, wherever he goes. That is why we are also at the beginning of something special here. If not this year, certainly the next.

Everywhere he goes
