Shit, you're right, How many have we got left to use?Waste of thread
How do you feel about wax crayon drawings and colouring books ?Sam Allardyce says he is fed up with tippy tappy football. He has a big centre forward called Andy Carroll and a couple of wingers and he likes to get that ball into the box, and to be fair to him it makes sense to play to your team's strengths.
I'd have thought it obvious that it's better to adapt your system to the players rather than try to get players to adapt to your system. The Blades also have plenty of decent wingers so I wonder why we insist on playing 4-5-1 which might look pretty but tends to keep us outside the area of the pitch in which we are most likely to score i.e. the opposition penalty box. Since we all agree that Michael Higdon lacks talent on the ball maybe it would be better for him, us and the team to let the poor guy have the ball on his head within sight of goal occasionally. He just might score some goals, you know.
Against Gillingham and Orient, when things got desperate, we abandoned the slow approach and bombarded them for the whole of the second half. It was exciting and everyone loved it. But ever since then we have wasted at least 45 minutes of every game making neat patterns on the field and continually taking a minute or two to end up back where we started, with the ball at the feet of our central defenders the wrong side of the halfway line.
No wonder fans are getting fed up. Football is a game we go to in order to get excited. We like goalmouth action and lots of it. It's very nice that the players look comfortable on the ball but we want the bloody thing in the other team's net, don't we?

I agree and this is nothing to do with hoof. No one wants to watch 90 minutes of passing the ball along the half way line.Sam Allardyce says he is fed up with tippy tappy football. Ha ha yeah I got that off google too....Russell Nigel Latapy CM is a retired footballer from Trinidad and Tobago who played as an attacking midfielder. He is currently assistant manager at Scottish Premiership club, Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Me neither.
The problem is he might be gone but the traunch average of signings will take 2/3 seasons to weedle out. We might get a new manager but he can't polish some of the turds we are lumbered with. The 5 year plan has been downgraded from Europe to escaping this league. Mccabe bought a name not a hungry ambitious L1 manager. Said it before will say it again.....Step 1 - Fire Clough

Go on then, I can think of Higdon really as the only 'turd to be polished', who are the rest? The problem is he might be gone but the traunch average of signings will take 2/3 seasons to weedle out. THE KING HASNT GOT ANY CLOTHES ON
Those were the days when we had players and permission to run straight at defenders.I agree and this is nothing to do with hoof. No one wants to watch 90 minutes of passing the ball along the half way line.
It's about the attacking intent in the last third. The ball has to go into the box at some point, or you have a shot. Our delivery is generally poor and willingness to shoot lacking.
Of course we want them to be comfortable on the ball but we need to attack with pace and get decent balls in.
I'll need to dust down the stats again but we've scored about 80 goals in our last 80 league games. Dreadful.
87 goals in our last 84 league games - shite.
Leaving some of the developing players out of the mix as they might get better....
