Please can nobody buy and turn up at the Spurs game with one of these.

FFS were actually selling half and half scarves! I dispair of my club at times! The half and half is complete Americanisation of our game.

You see these half and half scarves at most games and some (usually cup games) have the date of the match on too so wouldn't be able to be sold again - anyone know what happens to the unsold ones? Do they get unpicked and then the wool reused?! Given that I've never found anyone who buys them it's a wonder that they keep appearing

You have to give those marketing gurus at the Labe a big slap on the back. Peddle the naff semi final merchandise for all its worth. Its nothing short of an honest admission that we don't expect to go any further. Imagine if we did get to the Final, you'd look a right tool with your semi final merchandise.
Well were a third division side playing a top 6 premier league side. You could easily use the cliche that 'it's our cup final'

I remember when I first started going in the late 80's there was also an animation of a little referee brandishing a card at a player; I thought it was so futuristic that at half time the pitch would revolve round and the players would start playing Rollerball.

That and the animation* of hands clapping whenever we got a corner.

*do two slightly different images alternating every second or two count as animation?

I don't know when or where half & half scarves originate from but I'll bet Liverpool got their Juventus Guilt scarves in early enough.

Or one of these tees.

"Sheffield United wins"?? Who says that (on this side of the Atlantic)?

Whilst that one is disgusting I don't quite get the level of contempt for a half and half scarf in general. I would never wear one as a Blade but say a tourist goes to a game and wants a memento, doesn't have a loyalty for either team, what's wrong with them getting one? If we were to say make FA cup final and quality for Europe, get drawn against AC Milan or something in a European game. I'd certainly consider one to remember the occasion. I find the bizarre anger directed against half and half scarves just reflects modern insecurities about the way football is headed. But they've been around for years, no?
Surely there are other ways to remember the occasion Olly - such as framing a programme and ticket? Half and half scarve make people look like they're not sure which team to support. I just hate them. Sorry

T shirts say come on blades, since when does anyone actually say Come On Blades? Its Come on You Blades. Makes you wonder who decides on these things.

Last time I saw "Come on Blades" was on that pathetic little scoreboard, it had two hands next to it and when it popped up some people on the kop used to hold their hands and rub them together, cos thats what it looked like! Was rather naff.
Going back a few years now, but when SI Blade and his new bride arrived at the reception, they got a round of applause from the majority of the wedding party, alongside a bunch of idiots* 'hand waving / supposedly clapping' just like a badly animated 1980s electronic scoreboard animation...

Probably thrown away in the same place as the two hundred and seventy five 'Free Nelson Mandela' t-shirts, the hundred and fifty Bros LPs and the
Charles and Di wedding plates.

I was one of those idiots in the guard of honour too.

Photo evidence unfortunately exists...
