Gary Mackay-Steven wants to go to Celtic ahead of us. Clough likely now to step up his interest in Paul Coutts.

£1.7m bid tabled for John Brayford.

Chris Porter has rejected the chance to join Carlisle but another club is interested.

No, not from Clough. From an ITK source I know who has been informed by someone at the club.

Uggggggh,
GMS is the one I want the most, hence me moaning so much to Foxy like its his fault ;)

Mock all you like. Derby will only sell them as a package. No freeman, no coutts

It's not really about mocking you, I'm just mystified why. This is the second time we've been linked with Freeman and the second time he's been lumped together with someone else, almost as though he needs to have a sweetner before anyone would take him on.

Assuming this is all true, it doesn't suggest Derby have much faith in him as a saleable asset.

Derby are doing a buy one get one free deal ATM, offer ends jan 31st.*

*Derby operate a no returns policy on any BOGOF deals**

**derby reserve the right to only allow crap out on loan to teams north of them***

***specifically Sheffield United Football Club

That kind of money makes me believe we might just get the beard.

A bit of wee just leaked out
According to the Stir the first bid last week was rejected for the Beard, my "source" said that United had left the bid in Cardiff's court, so putting together the other info from this thread, we initially bid 1.5 which was rejected and we've gone to 1.7m now. Or alternatively all of the info could be complete bollocks and the Stir is getting its stories from this thread...

Why has everybody else got a reliable source? I want a reliable source, I'm not playing any more. :(
Not got a reliable source? Just make one up, just like everybody else does - piece of.

Becchio and Huth arriving Feb 1 on season longs - reliable source who has never been wrong before.

Coutts & Freeman will be permanents not loans!

£1.7 million pounds:eek: - that is game changing investment

Surprised Clough is still interested in Freeman after he spat the dummy out last time round demanding more money than we we're willing to pay. He wouldn't be a bad addition though as cover for Harris at LB as we don't wanna be moving McEveley out of that centre back berth on current form.

We shall wait & see...

all these made up transfer updates are great fun ,much better than the blank page we would have if we were being truthful

Must admit I was worried about McE when he first came. Didn't know what he was like but the negativity on here surrounding him made me worry we were signing a bad player. For me he is one of the first names on the team sheet, and bonus he's not one of our more injury pron players

To be honest, as big a fan as I am of the Beard, I'm afraid I can't justify spending the amount quoted above on him (assuming that both Cardiff and he agree to the move). Yes, his arrival would give the club especially the fans a lift but essentially, he is an attacking right back (and some would say with questionable defensive qualities). Unless there is sufficient budget to allow other targets to join and plug priority gaps (strong, creative central midfielder - Coutts?? (dependant on where NC plans to play Bash); striker/target man - COG??; Centre back (also dependant on where NC plans to play Bash), attacking left sided player to cover JM - GMS??? then surely the resources would be better spent on those areas and RB instead covered by Flynn, Alcock and perhaps a loan signing.
