The players, in the right position need fight - agreed. We need an uncompromising heart to the team. Would prefer the up front lot to be the devoid of the need to come back and to concentrate on scoring. Leave the defending to the defenders - sadly we can't at present.

As for Clough - he doesn't need fight ,he needs calmness and intelligence when everything around him is in turmoil - which to a degree it is at the moment. NC has a calm head - the team, and yes, it's his team, are not performing as they should. The question we should ask of NC, is "does he recognise it, and will it change"?

As for the team, they didn't "hold up" anywhere - they got back at 2am in the morning which suggests they had the same type of journey as the rest of us.

Team coach pulled in at Woodhall services around 10 and dropped a few players off who'd left their cars there. Not sure which way they went after that as I left before them.

Some of the team and staff morgs included were sat having a pint in the copthourne as we checked in at 12.30 after the drive from hell .
