McNulty

He played a blinder and was unlucky not to have scored more. He didn't give their defence a minutes rest

Was listening on radio 5, Kevin Phillips was raving about him

Thought he was excellent tonight, his work rate, harrying and positioning was very good against Prem defenders.

Has a knack of being in the right place to grab a goal also.

Well done that man.

He was outstanding tonight. He wasn't the only one though. Harris was my man of the match. McNulty and Basham were close runners up.

i thought he was poor first half as he had difficulty holding the ball up. His work rate was excellant and he was superb in the 2nd half

Absolutely superb performance, he never stopped running all game and gave their defence a very uneasy night. I'm not sure they knew what had hit them, they are clearly so used to having plenty of time in The Premiership, then all of a sudden they've got The Phantom of the Opera snapping at their heels. Never seen so many panicked throw ins given away and miss directed passes.

As well as his work rate, he also has a great touch and really holds the ball well, I think he's going to prove to be a fantastic signing.

That one where he plucked one out of he night sky as he cushioned that long searching ball (from Bash?) on his toe from over his shoulder as a defender was breathing down his neck. It came to nothing as he was crowded out but what a sublime piece of skill. :D Berkampesque.

That was a brilliant bit of skill especially as he must have been totally knackered after running his bollocks off all night, and fighting for every ball against their centre halves.

Brilliant and I'll forgive him for mucking up the easy bit in the same attack because he was knackered and stumbled over his own feet. Clough has been wanting him to do that type of work and in the last few games he has.

Also persistently tried to get the stewards to let the pitch-invader back into the crowd without being forcefully ejected (and banned?). Thumbs up to him for that (simultaneous thumbs down to the invader - Porter didn't score)

He seems to have gone up a level wearing the mask. Never mind Sparky, we should call him Stanley (Ipkiss) :D

Yep, thought he was first rate last night, ran the line well. Not seen that much of him, but worked hard and has an excellent touch. His legs were going at the end but can forgive him that as he worked their defence really well.

Minor criticism, but at times his anticipation could be better. It seemed that when Murphy or Baxter (towards the end) played the ball he was anticipating their passes, but he was slightly hesitant with others, so I think it's still a case of getting used to playing with those other players.

He probably won't get that much time and space on Saturday so I'd guess that O'Grady will come in, but as Ken said, the touch he showed when he brought that ball down was sublime.

He was close to my man of the match but I'd say Reed, Bash, Flynn or Cuvelier were just slightly ahead of him.

Mcnulty really puts you a shift in he needs to be leading the line now whatever the tactics
