Has been a real problem for us this season, with JCR and Murphy, once again guilty of wastefulness on Saturday. When the aforenamed are on song we don't have a problem getting behind defences, but we do struggle to find one of our own players from the resulting cross. Early season, this was due to not getting enough bodies forward quickly enough. I no longer see this as an issue; nor do I see 4-5-1 as the problem. It's about timing of runs and quality of delivery.
On Saturday, from countless attempts, we put in two decent crosses (one from JCR) and scored from one of them - impeccably delivered by Cuvelier.
McNulty can look awful in his general play but inside the box he comes alive. Give him the starts and the service and he could be our 20+ goal striker.
