Whats wrong with giving Porter or Di Girolamo a start?

Either of those had got to be a better option that the complete absence of a proper striker for any part of the match today.

If we had a proper striker, or even god forbid 2 proper strikers on the pitch that 1-1 draw would have been a probable 3-1 win.

If we don't go up this season today will be one of the reasons why.

For me the first wrong move in pre season was giving Porter a contract. Whatever wages he is on the fact he cant get on the bench when our two main strikers are out prove he shouldn't have been signed up

Think currently he is absolutely no use whatsoever. My question would be why sign him, even on reduced terms if you never even wanted to play him off the bench. He is no use to us warming a bench unless the Manager has mind to use him.

He could have given that a go for the last 15/20 minutes as a plan C, after plan A had failed and plan B stuttered once he switched JCR to the left. To be fair to Porter he has come off the bench to change proceedings on the park previously.

The sad thing is plan B tends to work. And when plan B just involves attacking with intent, the real question is why we keep using plan A for 60 minutes.

Agree with above statement. All 3 need to be moved on; along with Butler who is not going to be part of things. All 4 even with Porter's reduced wage are experienced players who will be on a decent wage at this level. Sadly finding someone to take such players will be harder said that done. At least the first 3 are out of contract at the end of the season.

Good lad our Ports,but to be fair,we've known since 2011 that he wasn't good enough.
