Just wondered what the general opines were on this matter?

If you didn't know already higgy's hurt his hamstring, it is unknown yet as to the extent of the damage so will have to wait and see on that one. Apparently this is why he was omitted from the squad for the Barnsley game.

So will Cloughy get a striker in on an emergency loan to cover Higgy's poential absence?

We still have McNulty and Porter as out and out strikers as others who can play up there as in Murphy and Baxter but we've not banged in as many as we would like therefore surely an ideal opportunity to grab a goalscorer here?.

However I suspect that with Clough's 1 up front tactics he won't deem this a massive emergency and won't plunge himself into the loan market regardless. Who knows?

No need, we don't play with strikers. ;)

Don't you have to run or jump to damage a hamstring?

Sorry, cheap shot :)

Maybe he got up off the bench a little too quick :D

Only kidding on a serious note it is gutting to be fair, his little brace in the cup might have sparked something in the league for him.

We will find out in the next 21 days..... Window closes on 25th. I hope we do bring someone in, even if just as backup.....

The worrying thought mate is that the temporary answer might be Noel Hunt.

I very much doubt it, clough went on record and said he had no interest in him. He hasnt played since Clough's original statement so I see nothing that would have changed his mind.

I know they are different players, but we're in talks to extend diegos loan this week too

The poor York fans are gutted. Just read their boards and it appears they have been blown away with him. They said he is pure quality and head and shoulders above the rest of their team and that he is the only player they had who knew where the net was.

You have to feel for them because it's not nice when you are struggling and you have a player who can produce the goods taken away from you as well as know down at BDTBL.

That's football!

What Cloughy will do with Higdon's injury is play it down every weak until he comes back, just to make it out like we don't need a loan.

Or,he'll get a Midfielder in on loan to play Higdon's role on the bench:rolleyes::D

To all those saying Higdon isn't overweight or out of condition perhaps this serves as another one of those injuries that is generally suffered more often by out of condition players by those at peak fitness.
