So NC has suggested to Giddings that another loan player is coming in soon.
Any guesses as to who?
What position would you look to fill? Striker?

I think the strikers position is fine atm.

Higdon & McNulty would be first choice & baxter & (probably) Evans coming back will sort that out.

Id like a Winger to give Flynn/Murphy/JCR some competition.

Centre half surely ,with Collins and Butler on the naughty step ,McEveley out of position ,Magahey in nappies and Macarthy on short term loan.

Basham can play Centre Half, as can Alcock, all swings and round abouts, as long its better than we already have then happy days.

Stability is one of the main things you want from your centre halves, and another short term loanee would not be ideal. If it's one where we have the option of making the deal permanent in January it would be different of course.

That's so wrong on so many levels.

We need finishers.
McNuts is the only natural finisher we have. Did you not see how Baxter and Murphy tickled the ball towards the goal keeper and how clinically McNuts despatched his chance?
We need some serious Fire power to ensure that we begin to convert some of these chances and that we can eventually go on at half time about 2-3 goals up instead of 0-0 rueing Mr Flufty and his chums.

Dear me. If that's what you see my advice is to turn around and look at the pitch during play.

Hmmm ... not so sure about that. Even if we did sign Evans back he won't be match fit until December so I think we still need a strong, fast striker to play with McNulty.
Also need a CB though as well if Butler & Collins are on the naughty step.

But if we're making Xmas lists I'd like Matty Phillips on loan again until January, followed by signing him on a permanent transfer ...... PLEASE Santa !! :D

We need to get Butler settled in now!

I really don't see what the fuss is about with O'Grady. He's just another average striker who scores infrequently at best.

He'd hardly be an exciting signing or any sort of statement of intent.

Yawn. We have been signing him for about 6 months now.

The amount of time it's taking would either suggest he doesn't want to play for us or the club won't pay the going rate. Probably more the latter knowing the club.

We are clearly his club of last choice, is this a player we really want?
