I spoke to him briefly in the Copthorne after the 125 evening. I congratulated him on his goal and said I was pleased for him and he said, "Not half as pleased as I was, mate."

Height-wise, he's a big bugger close up - very nice guy from the brief chat.

Well I guess I must be one several times over as I had reasonable conversations either at the 125 dinner or afterwards in the Copthorne, with Tony Currie (thought he was going to hug me at one point!), Alan Woodward, Dave Bassett, Neil Warnock, Chris Porter, Jamie Murphy, Charlie Webster and her escort Allen Leech, Stuart McCall, James Beattie, Del Geary, Squinny, Jim Phipps, Harry Gration ...

A great night it was to be sure! :)

Pissed then were you?

So, where is the swingometer on Higdon at the moment? I'm confused ;)

It all depends where yours was to start with?

Some fans have rated Higdon from early doors - same applies to Mcnulty and Wallace. Some have seen them all play bit parts in games up until now and have deemed them all crap.

Just needs Basham to come good now and a bucket load of fans can toddle off to meadowhall (to quote a certain NW).

All players need time to settle.

and on a final point about Wallace - pure quality on Saturday, thinking and playing ahead of most others. A Bit ungainly at times in his running style, but can be easily in the 3rd div team of the year if he stays fit.

Presume she was blooding him in?

I asked him if he really was going to be a proper Blade and he kind of gave me a resigned smile, pointed at Charlie and shrugged his shoulders.

I get the feeling she rail-roaded him into doing the run for charity as well.

Can't see it lasting mesen. :D
