What do you think about the match?
I am here for the match;)

Ive said in shout box, I think 3-1 blades and the start of a few goals racking up.

UTB

Hopefully, we seem to have got our act together again after the Swindon game. If we can contain Cody McDonald, I think we'll see a Blades win.

2-1.

Good performance for a change and very glad of it.Even if we would have drawn or maybe lost, which we didn't deserve btw,i would have been very happy with the performance.Well done lads and a thoroughly deserved victory in the end,get in there.

A lot better game today, I fully enjoyed it, was a mad last 20 minutes but glad we showed character when we went behind, its a deserved 3 points today! and wow what a player Wallace is (first time I've seen him play)

Wallace would be a lot better if he actually tried to pass to some of our players rather than where he thinks they should be running. His distribution was atrocious today.

I was very impressed with Magahey and McNulty out of the new lads today and thought Murphy and Doyle did well. It was good to see Higdon bag again as well.

We do need to start taking our chances though. Lack of clinical finishing (and you could say luck) could have cost us today.

It would have been a travesty if we had lost that game which looked likely when Gillingham on their only real attack scored a wonder goal. I can't remember such a one sided game we really should have had four or five goals in the second half when we were superb, 2 off the post a few kicked off the line good saves from the pig it looked like it was never going to go in for us. I'll say one thing when a team keeps coming from behind and winning late on it is a good sign they will win promotion.

What a load of rubbish, Wallace was head and shoulders our best player on the field today, didn't put a foot wrong, a class act!

I couldn't agree more about us taking chances. It was worrying to see how many we wasted. But come on man, Wallace was the best player on the pitch for me. How can you say his distribution was atrocious? There was one pass which was to no one but in all honesty I thought Davies should've been in position rather than the other side of the pitch! Wallace.... Going to be a very important player for us this year.

He was good but some of his attempted through balls were wrong. I like him as he is strong, good at finding spaces but needs a bit more thought when it comes to passing

Well done Blades. We battered them, especially in a second-half full of purpose and endeavour, founded on proper footballing principles.

Wallace and Doyle were outstanding in midfield. Good show from Murph (what a goal!) and Harri continues to develop game by game - excellent today.

A special mention for the much maligned Higdon. He made a real contribution - a clever poachers goal, another good goal attempt and involved in the winner.

Well done NC and the lads. Enjoy the 125 tonight.

He was good ,but thought Doyle edged him today ,I thought Doyle controlled the game and won the midfield allowing Wallace and Scougall to do what they are good at.

Much, much better, Blades. Similar to the second half of last season - we played with pace and intelligence. Murph's goal, and the noise of the crowd was just like when we just knew Ched would pull a goal out of the hat.

Only minus? Gillingham were pretty poor and offered next to nothing going forward.

Thought the ref. was excellent and - just my humble opinion - Wallace is MacDonald's natural heir.

Just to clarify I don't think Wallace is a bad player, I've said on other threads, once he gets a run in the side he will be a good asset, and I don't think he had a bad game. On the contrary, he was good, I just thought his passing was wayward more often than not, especially considering what I've seen from him in previous games. It was as if he was seeing players making runs that weren't actually happening. It wasn't just once either, there were a number of occasions. It was disappointing because he would do a nice bit of skill to beat a man, or win a decent tackle, but then lose possession with an inaccurate pass.

Perhaps atrocious was an exaggeration, but who on here isn't prone to the odd overstatement, especially just after a game. :)

I suppose the disappointment was because I know he can do better in terms of distribution.

I don't doubt there is more to come from him and I very much look forward to it. As somebody else mentioned, it will click the more he plays with his new team mates and learns what sort of runs they actually makes instead of what he believes they should.

When Baxter does it ,the old 'different wavelength ' line gets wheeled out. I would rather have Scougall than Baxter and Wallace than Basham ,we are far better balanced and attacking.

I have to admit that Doyle was the MOTM today!
Flipping eck Silent! Sheaf beer softened you up today? :-)
But yes, my hero was rather good today even if I say so myself. He was faultless (almost!) and allowed Wallace to give full range to his talents.
5-0 would have been a fairer reflection of the play. Our domination was extraordinary.
McNulty looks a more interesting prospect as time goes by. Give him the right service and he can fashion chances from very little.

walking down Bramall Lane after and a Gillingham fan was on his phone to what must be Radio pikeyville P and G saying Doyle should have been sent off for a professional foul in injury time and that cost them the game.
