9 PTS after 14 games last season.
We are in a spell of perceived easier fixtures before a spell of perceived harder fixtures. So be interesting to see how we've done by Christmas.

Weird game tonight. Poor defending for the opener. Then we eventually controlled ended up scoring 3. Then start of 2nd half looked like we would eventually score another yet didn't make most of openings.
Their 2nd again bit poor defending. Tanganga and then more so McGuinness completely losing their challenges.

After that though Preston showed why they are bottom, they didn't really do anything.

All in all deserved win, plus points for doing enough to win. Negative would be really we shouldn't be conceding either goal and we also should have put more past them.

I still think we have got a very average squad of players, shorn in the summer of our best attacking threats.

Yet Wilder is still seemingly able to get a tune out of them as we aren’t a million away from the play off berths now.

I thought we would be down the bottom end of the table, just out of reach all season from the dead men in the bottom of the season so at the minute we are surpassing the realistic expectations that I had at the seasons start.

Early on in the season I was slap bang in the middle of the fence in this whole Wilder debate. I’d have been receptive to a change had a suitable candidate been put forward who would realistically come to the Lane and would take us forward but none seemed to materialise, however i think Chris Wilder is doing an excellent job of silencing a lot of his critics

Just have to hope we get to January and see what we do in the transfer window as we need a lot better up front. Need a decent attacking player
