Thanks for these summaries, it's good to quickly browse the shit CW comes out with without having to actually listen to it come out of his mouth.

His continual stances on Donovan, JLT and "experience" (shite, overpayed geriatrics) should be a big red flag for those still under his influence.

Listening to his interview theres no doubt at all if selles didn't come in robinson would still be here with an extended contract.

I think if there wasnt such a push back and noise with the fans he would have resigned him this season when Birmingham released him.

Not sure why he said hes left scratching his head at the fans view on him... yes he gave his all and 100% commitment never shirked but thats the bare minimum. He just wasnt that great a footballer and always had a brain fart that ended up costing us games. And here is the issue with the current set up and crop of players hes again not seeing the issue of it not being good enough.
Bang on 👍

2 Games stand out for me regards Robinson. The 5-2 demolition of Burnley at the Lane mistakes and part of the 2nd half demolition and a goal. Really chuffed for him that day. 2nd game League cup last season away at Brum complete idiot how he was never sent off for the lino expletives. He divided opion alright. Strange player limited in ability big heart but to be fair if JOC wasnt injured JLT would have limited game time. But culture carrier one of Wilders loves.

The away win at the Pig, when Brewster scored was a moment. When a team mate fronts out their firework lobbing 'hard men', the rest of the team see that.
He definitely had limitations, but the Anti-Wilders scoff at 'team spirit' and 'culture', conveniently forgetting that Weir, Adkins and Selles never remotely had it.

I'm missing tomorrow, but I'd happily applaud him for what he did, despite his limitations.

There’s a middle ground though, right?

I appreciate the effort he made and the body on the line ‘tackles’ he made but I’m equally sure that he isn’t the quality or calibre of player we need - despite being almost certain Wilder would have kept him on.

Best of luck to him but glad he’s moved on.

You mentioned about some good games v Derby, 2018 Boxing Day 3-1 win the Lane was rocking. How intimidating can Bramall Lane be?

- that's exactly what I want. Both teams were pushing. A great afternoon, egdy, ebbed and flowed. Proximity plays a part, both working class clubs.
Hmmm, not sure I see United as a true working class club anymore. Bramall Lane these days is more like leafy Nether Edge. 'Where all the baristas know your name.'

No sane manager could mention JoC & JLT in the same paragraph - never mind the same sentence - and keep a straight face.

One was on the cusp of an England call-up and the other was an averagely skilled pugnacious nutter.

Wilder thinking the latter could replace the former in the PL - and blowing all his budget on feckin useless striker from Klopp - relegated us with a whimper in '21.
And probably caused Wilder's breakdown & backdoor exit.

Hea touchy on it because he knows a lot of the fans think he should be in the first 11 and he isnt at all good at taking any kind of critisism. Every single interview he does he has to mention something along the lines of 'I know what the narrative is'....'I can hear the noise' etc etc.

Hes way too bothered about what 'we' think, you dont get it from other managers and its definitely a character defect .
It's not as big a defect as being unable to see the bleeding obvious

I dunno wtf Wilder's on about - making comments on what social class clubs fans inhabit - I think he's stuck somewhere in the 70s

Fact is fans sometimes fans know better than the Manager.

Not all the time, but to not entertain some of the time would be daft. He’s only human like the rest of us.

I agree Chong has been decent and I get the notion of keeping the shirt. But what did Donovan do to lose the shirt? And why be so rigid and not play Donovan off against BBD as well? I don’t mind BBD but he’s not currently impacting the game as much as Donovan who was electric when he came on.

It’s Derby, so let’s hope if he starts BBD goes back and haunts his old club.

Wilder has always been too conciliatory with the gob shites. You ignore them and move on - you don't owe them anything just because they're fellow Blades. The constant 2 + 2 = 4 explanations you're giving them aren't needed; stop catering to the lowest common denominator

. Robinson was a good signing who largely served the club well. We definitely had our monies worth. He was better in a three than a five and was for the most part steady. He wasn't starting centre back in a promotion side standard, especially at the back end of his career. Not surprised to see him get yet another Championship move at 33.

A reminder that Jack Robinson started 25 games in a season we got promoted to the Premier League. The level of disrespect and mockery is incredible. Same people who rail against being called entitled. It's mad to me how many of you mindlessly jump on these bandwagons. No gratitude at all have you. Behaving like this to someone who's achieved what he has with us. You're pathetic some of you

The bloke is a lout on the pitch and limited
100% effort yes but technical ability athleticism focus discipline very weak
But he’s made a good living out of it

Starting centre back in a team that won promotion to the Premier League. Deserves far more respect.

I didn’t dislike Robbo as much as a lot of blades. He was signed as a cheap / value backup. He was hard working and put his body on the line for the shirt. He was pretty average for the most part - in line with the fee an expectation. He was prone to 3/4 absolute Sunday league style clusterfucks a a season though which seemed to really harm his reputation.

As a backup playing 5 games a season he would’ve been fine. It’s the clubs fault he ended up being more than that… eg Souttar gets injured, signed Rob Holding who had barely kicked a ball for about 3 seasons, don’t use him, play Robinson every week and at Wembley. Backup players shouldn’t be used for half a season when you’ve just spent £10m on a striker that you didn’t really need.

Even though I didn’t particularly dislike him, the fact that Selles got shut is still the best thing that happened to the club during his miserable reign as listening to that presser it’s pretty obvious he’d be partnering Tanganga this season otherwise.

Seems it's typical Wilder "teaching young exciting players a lesson" by not starting them and blaming them if we don't perform. Ferguson did the same but they're miles apart.

Including non-league Wilder has been in the dugout for almost 1000 games. Before that, he played in almost 500 games. Yet loads of people who've never managed a team in their lives or played at a professional level once know more about team selection and tactics.

Some really piss poor questions again ‘how big of it is the opportunity to get the first consecutive win at home?’
‘How intimidating can bramall lane be?’

Why bother asking questions which you know what the answer is going to be and in reality could be answered by anyone.

Got to love our local journos

If that's the case then it's a bit cut off your nose to spite your face when it's a chuffing loan 🤣
It's not like having Ndiaye sitting in the wings waiting for a manager that will play him.

Big Shudder.

In the summer if Derby County decides not to keep JLT and CW is still going to be the manager... it is not necessarily over.

Even if we were to somehow fluke promotion I still wouldn't rule Wilder out in wanting to re-sign him!

Even Bigger Shudder.

A lot of people don't seem to have watched the press conference. Wilder mentions that Robinson was voted on to the players leadership team by his team mates.

Was Jack Robinson limited in some ways? Yes he was. Did he have a calamity in him? Yes he did.

All our players are limited in some way. That's why they're here and not in the Premier League. Frustrating as it is that's the compromise. That's the reality.

Not accepting those limitations, expecting limitless perfection that's where the entitlement is.

Marge, you're my wife and I love you very much but you're living in a world of make-believe
with flowers and bells and leprechauns and magic frogs with funny little hats.

He does deserve respect for the promotion season and the shitshow in the PL. But the fact that a club with PL & parachute money had such a limited player as a regular starter for such a long time, partly because we had squandered huge amounts of money elsewhere, raises very big questions about recruitment strategy and execution. He had attributes but was never good enough for what we aspired to be as a club.

Played a massive part in promotion to top flight. Absolutely good enough for us. Not good enough for people who expect us to be prime Barcelona though ye
Didn’t play a massive part at all, but was a part of it. A bit part player. Ndiaye, Berge etc played a massive part.

You aren't on the kop, are you?
Half time queueing for the bogs is a decent way of demonstrating that the gentrification of football, still has a way to go - thank god!
