I'd guess we're not paying him that much.

Why won’t we be?

We signed him on a permanent transfer. Rumour was that earlier in the window Leicester were asking a fee for him too but as the window drew to a close they decided they’d let him go for free if someone took over his contract.

So in lieu of a transfer fee it sounds like we simply took over his existing contract.

From the players perspective he’s not going to walk away from a years contact on £50k and sign for another club on £20k a week is he? There’s absolutely no benefit to him at all for doing that unless he sees us as a charity case.

Out
Shackleton
Campbell
Doherty
Ayew

Depends which way the wind blows with my opinion on wilder. Got to say though he doesn’t half make buy in hard. The fact he sits in a presser during the transfer window and says that they were some “sexy names“ out their but they’ve not played football so wouldn’t be available for a while, proceeded to then recruit older pros who are made out of biscuits is another paradox I can’t get my head around. 3 wins in 10. Averaging around 1 point a game, a mid-table finish actually looks like an exciting prospect now. Need investment

Theresa few younger players in prem that are not getting much game time and wpuld be good for chamionship team. Sadly though would they A) want to come to us and B) us approaching them?

Leicester were in huge financial trouble.
I'm guessing we're not paying Kalvin Phillips £170k/week.

Said this in another thread but January would now be my biggest concern if Wilder is still here.

If I’m Peck, Oné, Seriki or Cooper I’m banging on my agent’s door to get me out of here. The board have already shown they’re willing to cash in on players.

Brentford will 100% call Donovan back if they keep seeing BBD & Chong playing instead of him. Then what are we left with? A bunch of overpaid & unfit culture carriers. And God forbid Wilder is allowed to replace any young players we lose and brings in more of the same dross which could set us back again.

Why is Wilder not playing Doherty atall? Or other another waste of money from the budget as Wilder has fallen out with him? This can’t keep happening!!! It’s wasting £££ we no longer have the luxury to squander!

I read that Doherty recently had an injection in his knee.

I had an injection in my knee last April and last month.

I'm not one for making up players wages.
You've already doubled the Ayew wage estimated on here.
🤡
Why, do you know how much he's on? If not you're guessing as much as everyone else. Not very factual of you, mr black and white

He's WANK

I see several people wouldn't mind seeing Campbell leave. I've not given up on him yet. He seems to have fitness issues which seems to be a recurring theme under Wilder these days. But if we can get him in shape again he can still be an asset in this division imo.

Mousse just needs a pre-season. Brewster just needs a run of games. Jairo. Phillips. RND. Chong. We routinely sign players who cannot maintain the reasonable standard of fitness and consistently play games either due to chronic illness or injury or because they can’t stop eating and drinking unhealthily. Need a full clear out

Peck and Seriki are already on the way out, offers in the summer but not at our valuation. Seriki's contract situation and january window place inflation might force our arm.

Best Jan transfer would probbaly be McKenna, Ismail, Struber, Rowett, Chalinor, Edwards or Cooper.

January is the time for Wilder to show his stuff, like Mk1 version.
A bit of astute selling / losing some high earners, and bring in some gems.
But he won't and we know he won't. It'll likely be one out the door and a replacement brought in on loan. Even then this will be an older "experienced" player, known commonly as injured ravaged, inconsistent unreliable has been.

Cut loose however possible on whatever basis:

Campbell
Riedewald
Doherty
Shackleton
Ayew

Sell for acceptable fees:

Cannon
Seriki
Tanganga

Be ruthless
There's a good chance Seriki goes given his contract is ticking down.

Not quite sure who is going to take any of the other players you've listed. You can be as ruthless as you want - if nobody wants to sign those players then we won't be able to sell them.

There is a player to salvage in both Campbell and Jairo, contrary to wider opinion.

We might as well terminate Shackleton's deal now and save medical costs. Let him have more time finding another club.

Get the lot gone including the manager!
