The design of the stand is just classic United, even 60 years ago.

Build a strange upper tier that doesn’t even stretch the full width of the pitch, with no foresight that the ground probably wouldn’t stay as a cricket/football ground for the long term.

We just rinsed and repeated the same poor planning and designing of the stadium since then..from the south stand, to the cheap kop option that overlapped the south stand when it could have been done properly and connected to it…

Then the John street that extended beyond the length of the pitch into the lane end and was probably 2000 seats short of some real ambition.

Then the Lego land kop corner which looks like a 12 year old designed it

Then the Westfield corner which looks nice on the inside…but horrendous on the outside.

What a waste of a huge land area…and now we’re stuck with a stadium that would need probably £150million+ spent on it to develop the south stand, kop, and fix the lane end.

At this point we should have a stadium with at least 40,000 seats in it that can maximize premier league revenue.

Though 60,000 would show proper ambition and investment.
We could then finally get rid of those long waiting lists for season tickets.
