He definitely played at least a couple of old Pontins League matches at Bramall Lane (I kept a couple of the programmes when Man U came as my Dad quite obsessively said "Keep an eye on that lad, he'll be a star" even from the warm up- it was Paul Scholes). What about David Beckham?
Barry Bannan
YesDid Trevor Brooking ever play at Bramall Lane?
He didKeegan played and scored in the 1-1 draw at the lane in 1971
If reserve games count , Im pretty sure Beckham played at the Lane for Man Utd reserves 1993ish
Yes I saw him play alongside Rodney Marsh for Fulham, cant remember the year though. Sorry, already been mentioned!Did George Best ever play at the lane? that was not a charity match.
Rodney Marsh, Bobby Moore and Best played in the October 1976 match. A year later it was just Best out of the three.Yes I saw him play alongside Rodney Marsh for Fulham, cant remember the year though. Sorry, already been mentioned!
coughOver the years I've had the pleasure (and.sometimes the pain) of seeing the likes of Ronaldo, Cantona, Shearer and Haaland play at Bramall Lane. But who are the best players who never had the career highlight of playing at Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane? I might be wrong but I don't think Beckham, Hoddle, Henry or Keegan ever got to play at the Lane? (I'm referring to players who played in the English league so not the likes of Messi.

Anyway, in one of those Beckham's listed as right back. And in another (I believe it was about 6-1 to them) someone floated probably the best goal I've ever seen from just inside the halfway line out on the right wing over Sal Bibbo... someone's said on here before that was definitely Beckham. He was playing so it'd definitely add up!!
Definitely at Bramall Lane too with Dion Dublin as skipper! Not sure about the Lane but he and the rest of the Class of 92 definitely played against United reserves at Saltergate.
I remember it day after I arrived back from Benidorm with full tan and it was red hot here but can’t remember who playedI never knew we played them pre season in 84.
