I clearly remember the FA Cup match at Sincill Bank, January 4th 1964, when the bridge collapsed outside and several people
were injured falling into the dyke below. Over 18,000 in attendance.
Was it really 1964. I watched the bridge slowly collapse. It was as bent as a banana and folks still tried walking over it. Quite funny at the time.

I also remember Barrie Hartle running full pace into a brick wall and knocking himself senseless. After a good dowsing with the magic sponge up he got, but didn't have a clue where he was and running in circles for about ten minutes.

Feeling confident about tomorrow , we're a better team with better players than many on here acknowledge.
Lincoln have a punchers chance of course but its time to unleash the real sufc this season .

UTB
This sounds like Wednesday fans before 2-4 to be fair

Tomorrow will be my first time seeing us play a home fixture in the League against Lincoln.

I did see us play at Lincoln in the League on a Wednesday night in Sept 1982. Blade fan Gordon Hobson had given them the lead just before half time. During half time I was leaning on a crowd crush barrier watching the Blades fans running towards Lincoln fans and one of them running was my Uncle Ronnie so I grabbed his arm to say hello to him. He was startled to see me there as he knew that I had stopped going to matches regularly because I was playing football on Saturdays. He didnt know what to say to me but on realising that I shouldnt have stopped him running I then told him "off you go" so he carried on running towards the Lincoln fans!
Did we lose 3-0

I read about this so I went with camera to Ringinglow but sadly couldn’t see it….however someone said you can see York Minster from the top of Grenoside, and guess what?they were right👍
Approx 40 miles as the crow flies, and its poor quality cos I’ve had to zoom the shit out of it,but you can just make out the outline
The boring facts thread😉😆

That’s the flats at Herdings, you pointed the wrong way.

You know you can actually see Lincoln Cathedral from Sheffield? If you go up to Ringinglow on a clear day with a pair of binoculars… Also Humber Bridge and York Minister,

Now you may be thinking “ whats that got to do with football?” and the answer is ……absolutely nothing

You may also be thinking “those are pretty boring facts.”… and you would be absolutely correct…

But…. I think I can safely guarantee you it’s all a lot more interesting and entertaining than anything we are likely to witness tomorrow during the 90 minutes

Back in the days when I was funny on Twitter:

This is (allegedly) another photo taken in Rininglow, from the same Rotatry Club viewing point. Lincoln Cathedral middle left.

I drove up there a few times in the summer a couple of years ago, but the horizon was never very clear, and the person who took this claimed it was a very clear day.

Either way, I suspect a very good camera is required.
