Summary,

Best moment when SB said Tortosa Ex Pats (aka El Accounto)s question about charges being levied against the Club by PA was a load of bollocks.

Legal/ EFL/IFR issues

IFR stated they did not feel it necessary to be informed of change to structure i.e 1919 share transfer provided owners remained in situ at top of family tree.

EFL were told 24 hours after 1919 share transfer occurred. They take the opposite view to IFR feel they should have been allowed to sign it off. They have stopped asking questions. They have known about this for 4 months. SB view if regulations have been breached charges would have been made by now. Legal advice remains confident no case to answer but still a risk of sanctions until EFL finally respond.

SB rightly dismissed the Southampton scenario where 10 points were deducted. COH was not insolvent whilst part of SUFC group. Saints holding company was hence the sanction. Owners will fight hard any sanction imposed.

Tim Ryan passed the EFL O and D Test again refuting media misinformation. Another fact the media got wrong is that the EFL are not concerned about Rosen and his previous company being liquidated.

The contractual dispute between United World and Rosen and co is a contractual dispute. Monies are owed. Owners feel it should be a lesser sum than the £35m quoted as outstanding. Parties continue to talk. SB has met with PA in the last 10 days.

Unfortunately no questions were raised about Tom Page action.

Club revenue/ recruitment

Club aim was to bring in £20m from player sales to meet SCR and bring down wage bill by £7m. That has been achieved. No need for player sales in JTW unless silly offers come in.

Talks with players/agents ongoing about contract extensions.

1 Loan available if team doing well owners would consider providing funds for new players otherwise its frees and loans.

Owners are discussing with 2 parties potential for new investment.

Dore

£1 million spent last 12 months. High level costings for planning application and public consultations ongoing. Land secured its now the cost of buildings. Designs completed.

Academy has been staffed up to CAT 1 standard.

BL Stand

Structural issues. Spent £500k so far to make it structurally safe. Will require extensive alterations next Summer.

Decision not to reopen for the moment inview of current attendances.

Alan Knill

It was a collective decision. SB and CW discussed it. Desire to provide a pathway for younger new coaches hence Mcsheffery and Collins being promoted.

Overseas in pre season

Bochum was a success. Looking to do similar trip next season but probably not in Europe.

Owners not looking to sell

No plans for this. Talking to potential investors. Value of club will have diminshed no reason to want to sell at moment.
Sounds like owners just want to see this season out to start again in the summer

Of course.

It’s the same at every club (apart from Chansiri at Sheff Wed).

If there’s going to be a big shortfall in the budget…..owners can no longer plug the gap like in the past.
The club MUST sell players to balance the books or face a large points deduction.

Don’t think people realise the last 6 years hasn’t been normal.
We’ve received massive parachute payments, been one of the richest clubs in the EFL, so when we target a player they’ve tended to come to us.
However this year our Sky money drops from £35 million down to £7 million, so we had to sell players and when we target players it’s much more tricky to get them.
We can’t decide who we want to sell because there’s got to be bids and the bids must be at our valuation.
It was more they would of sold them including those we sold this window, seems a bit excessive for me and a clear indication we are more in the shit than they are letting on.

Not one question on Wilder, don't be fooled by Rob's pressing. You can see Radio Sheffield agenda from the outset.

This is why I don't rate the local press, not that we didn't get some answers from Bettis but they are all most likely similar ones he had just given Danny Hall.

I very much doubt Ralph’s “pressing” made Snek reveal one single thing he didn’t intend to. He should have asked Staton why he had said more than once that the authorities were unaware of the transfer. He was also told the new guy had been cleared by the EFL, something else he clearly didn’t know.

One for our ITK’rs though, Bettis quashed the gormless rumour that Selles was never interviewed.

Isle of Wight Is lovely in July…

There was one.

The questions were 1000 times better than the embarrassing podcast ones...

No questions about Wilder.

No questions about Tom Page.

Pitching questions from PA's mate. May as well have asked Wit for some questions too.

Yes still better than Rosen's podcast even though Bettis rightly pointed out that Rosen had given the answer to Rob's question of points deduction. Which Rob chose to ignore and move on.

Even then Rob seemed to refuse to believe that he might be wrong on that.

Like I say RS had it's agenda and it still didn't really trip Bettis into revealing anything more than he wanted to.

What Wilder question did you want asking?

There was one about Wilder. You are choosing to ignore it and move on I guess 🤷‍♂️

Yes nothing about Tom Page although I think we all know the "it's with lawyers" line would come out for that and isn't to do with the club directly so Bettis wouldn't know much either. Which is exactly why I would rather owners face up to the much better questions than the podcast.

Staton has clearly got the tit on because the owners wont talk directly to him. Im not a Bettis fan at all, but thought he fended hog off quite well.

Staton can have an opinion. Rosen clearly can’t…….

I think he’s being more honest and open than I’ve heard anyone from the club in as long a time as I can remember. May not like what he says, but at least he’s saying it straight as he can.

Spot on. People say they want honesty, but really mean they want them to say things they agree with.

He was honest. The truth is we haven’t got the money we used to have and have to cut our cloth accordingly. Even if the owners were to give us £20m to spend on players we couldn’t anyway because of the new rules.

It’s going to be a transition year and frees and loans were always going to be on the cards. Credit also for not selling Seriki or Peck.

I wasnt knocking you just interested how this bright future tallies with a squad that will be decimated come the summer when all the loans go back amd other contracts end. I think i saw somewhere we will barely a squad of 15 left on full time contracts after the end of the season!

Same as the last 2 seasons.
Wilder had to completely rebuild the 92/90 point season. All seemed to be going well until the Souttar injury, though we weren't scoring enough goals.

Then.

Both were questions from fans, not Staton.

Exactly.

I guess you can give props to Rob for choosing them asking them but really similar questions like that are ones that could be asked directly to Wilder as well and never will be.
