Saw a link on Facebook for this film featuring BDTBL in 1980. The match is apparently against Exeter City on Saturday 18 October. Link takes you to the start of the clip.

I was probably there, went to most home matches that season. In fact I think I had a "juvenile" season ticket. Hair was certainly longer then, and we had more of it on top.

I remember this, I was stood very close to them being filmed. It was a very typical dour performance of those times and 2 blokes started having a go at each moaning about the performance and then arguing who had been going the longest and had the biggest right to moan. They ended up wanting to fight over who knew best! sound familiar? I notice the cameras soon panned to this, I must watch it again to see if they used any of that incident and if I can see myself

I wasnt at that match because I was playing football in the Friendlies League and I was the secretary for Sheffield Deaf FC too. Either the 1980-81 or the 1982-83 season was the fewest I had attended games at the Lane in a season.

I remember the camera crew filming as we left the kop & were walking along John St - I recall one of the film crew having a clapper board with “Firefly” written on it.
