He made a mistake and looked as though he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Before then I thought he was playing ok, definitely no worse than others so give the guy a break

He made a mess of a straightforward clearance and it resulted in a defeat.

But he was not the reason that we lost that game.

The sign of a quality player is how you react to negativity and if he can fight his way back from it take the stick that he will get and prove he still has confidence and resilience in his ability he will be a better player for it.

I have said before he has the attributes to be a quality defender in the Championship and I still believe that.

The lad is clearly struggling with confidence but he’s just not good enough and hasn’t been for a long time, if ever, in my opinion.

I genuinely wish him well but we should move him on or release him when we can.

If we are selling Burrows and McGlinchey is not perceived to be ready or we don’t see enough progress in Buyabu, then no point wasting money and paying additional agent fees to recruit two new left backs especially when we will continue to be on a reduce budget.

Yes it was a poor bit of play. But overall he’s been reasonable this year and has been a useful squad player.
