Outgoing? Arblaster

It doesn't say they're putting in a bid, it just says that they're monitoring his progress.

Who's watching him?

David Weir, who recently signed Tommy Watson from Sunderland for Brighton.

Might wanna check your maths on that one

Tbh they'll not view an ACL at such a young age as a major issue these days.

He's not due back until Christmas time, he hasn't played at all this year, has he?

He won't be back for the first game of the season.

He's also not back in training. I don't know what your source is, but you are well off mate.
Not sure where ThatJa gets his info from but I'd be very, very surprised if Arblaster was out until Christmas. An ACL reconstruction recovery for a regular person (albeit one with private medical cover) is 9 months from surgery. Arblaster had his surgery in early December 2024 so that would put his return sometime around now. I doubt he'll be on the full pre-season; this is a good opportunity for the healthcare-driven side of the ownership to develop a bespoke plan for him. I'd expect to see him back fully sometime in September.

And if I was him, I'd accept that as long as it meant not re-injuring it

It could also work out better for us that way because we might be able to keep him

On the Road to Recovery videos you can see a surgical scar on the outside of Arblaster's knee. It's in a very similar position to one I've got and that was for a lateral tenodesis. Putting two and two together, this would suggest that he chose to have the additional (and in the scheme of things, relatively minor) procedure but it's one with significant benefits; reducing the re-rupture rate from 10-15% to 2-5%.

Aye, I'd heard he'd joined in with some light non-contact training stuff already (could be shite for all I know).

I'd expect him to be back August/September personally. First game may be pushing it admittedly. My incision was on the inside of the knee so ever so slightly different procedure but I was back playing within 9 months, and that's without any of the access to high-end and personalised physio that Blaster is getting.

He'll be way on the way to being involved in pre-season in some form or another.

I've heard he needs a second operation and will miss start of the season, so can't see us selling him.

I've heard a few people saying that he's really struggling in his recovery

Here we go again ! rumour mongers at it again!.
I've heard this ! I've heard that ! What a load of bollox
Did I try and make out I'm ITK? I just posted something I had heard, on a forum that is for having discussions. If you look at my post history you'll see I don't post rumours, but you go off all you like.

I know he has been playing golf recently and very much doubt that the club would allow that if he had ongoing problems
