Fleetwood had 2 of our ex Academy lads Harrison Neal and Finlay Potter both good enough for L1 / L2 but they looked better than some of our sorry bunch. Is it because Jairo and Rothwell cant play in the Wilder system and this makes them look worse than what they are or is it because Wilder has signed duds.
Dont get me started on Choudhury and Shackleton Either way Wilder is to blame.
I know he has had his hands tied to a certain extent but there are players out there that are better than our recent signings that wouldnt cost the earth and would have been within Wilders budget and may be able to last 90 mins but unfortunately our recruitment team and Wilder seem unable to find such players

Yes we sold arguably our 3 best players and he wasn't given a hell of a lot of money to sign players for transfer fees but what he was given was a healthy war chest for loan fees, signing on fees and wages.

Taking that into account I feel he is totally to blame for what's happening right now.

He was given a budget and, barring Donovan, he has completely wasted it.

I want him gone but that's a tad harsh.

It's well known that the manager works on tactics and man management and the coach is the one who, well, coaches.

Yeah I'm not looking for an argument mate, and this isn't aimed at you at all, but the whole he's been dealt a shit hand is way off the mark IMHO.

Prime example is when Seriki was injured before the TW shut and we obvs needed a RB did he go out and get a RB? No he brought in Choudary on big wages who isn't a RB and then proceeded to play him out of position.

Is anyone seriously going to say there wasn't a single genuine RB that we could have got with the reported £30/40k a week wages we are paying Hamza?

That's just 1 example of this summer.

How many managers are still at their best at age 58. It's close to retirement age. It must take a physical and emotional toll. Football management is suited for healthy people in their forties with something to prove. Take Klopp for example, 59, extreme fatigue and burnout made him quit for part time management as German manager.
