They looked average today but they will be top 6 easy and have something we don’t have anymoreTwo bang average teams. Broke into a game of football for 20 minutes second half. Deserved a point but defended too deep as usual last 10 minutes. It was coming.

We didn’t.
We brought on both Ayew and Cannon and had three attacking players up front.
There are two teams though and they also had quality additions to bring on.
I don’t see how the intent to have a go can be criticised when we finish with Ayew, Bamford and Cannon on the field at the end.
From 64 mins when he made those subs we were all over them for about 10-15 minutes.
They just had more quality in key moments.

- quality from the bench there subs v our subs swung the game their way
Same with Ayew, if his cross/shot was just a little less hard, Cannon would have been there to walk it in.Our moment was when Cannon put a decent ball in the six yard box, I looked across hoping to see a player put it in the empty net, but no one was there. Oh, for Billy Sharp to have been playing!
At the point in the game that sub got made, you are completely forgetting Bamford. You're nuts, if we were having a front 3 why not Ayew Cannon and Donovan or a front 2 of Cannon and Donovan where are you seeing just one midfielder??? Peck, Ayew, could have moved Choudury into his natural midfield position, loads of options rather than bringing Rothwell on which makes us retreat 10 yards FFS
I like him as a person, but football wise hes just not very good sadlyI like Diaz but he ain’t good enuff not his fault all we could afford![]()
I would like to see us start with today’s line up, but with Donovan in for BBD (and obviously Seriki for Choudhury once he’s fit)At the point in the game that sub got made, you are completely forgetting Bamford.
We had Ayew, Bamford and Cannon on.
Yet you want to take off one of only two central midfield players and bring in a winger.
We’d be playing 5-1-4!
Not against Donovan at all. But if he was coming on it would be instead of one of the forwards, not a midfielder.
I never got around to trying any food but not before time. The catering has always been poor at the Lane.I thought Kitchen was excellent today
Unbelievable decision at the time. I'd like to see that againHe gave the free kick to them
Because our legs had gone. Drop deep, hold on for dear life. As I said before, their goal was inevitable. Our only response was two long throws, hope for a flick on and get the second ball. A pretty blunt approach which rarely works. The big con was the last 15 minutes. It was a completely even game, yet we decided to try and hold off and they tried to win. Why? So so frustrating, I’m not saying we needed all out attack but just like Cardiff and swansea it was US that decided a draw was enough and the other team that was going for it.
So frustrating watching your team play for 20 minutes with ‘I hope they don’t score’ it never seems to be ‘I hope we score’. That’s a pure mentality issue. I’d say from the manager but ofcourse players are not blameless
I thought the system worked really well and we didn't deserve to lose. The best we have played all season.
Agree on their keeper. He was a liability for them. Complaining of being fouled every time anyone went near him on a high ball. Pathetic.Pros = we played oreyt.
Cons = we lost.
Can’t see Wolves getting top two based on that, goalie flapping and we got round back of em a fair bit and should have done better really.
UTB.
Also, from what I could see he was constantly talking. Felt like he was bossing the back line which is definitely something we have been missingBest Kitching has played for us
There was one which the referee gave where it was 3 wolves players fouling him with not a single United player near.Agree on their keeper. He was a liability for them. Complaining of being fouled every time anyone went near him on a high ball. Pathetic.
Exactly !There was one which the referee gave where it was 3 wolves players fouling him with not a single United player near.
There was one that Bamford scored from eventually that I think the Kop assumed was for a foul on the keeper but we had at least 3 players offside when the kick was taken. Brain dead play from us.There was one which the referee gave where it was 3 wolves players fouling him with not a single United player near.
