4:00am kick off here, not the best starting the day off with a defeat but I thought we played well for the most part.

CONS
Brereton Diaz, poor performance where nothing came off for him. First touch was poor, coughed up possession too easy in promising positions and just what I expected when we signed him.
Missed Donovan, not sure what the score was with him.
Still don't have a leader in defence. Central defenders all backed off for the goal and left their player unmarked to shank the ball to Raul. Unlucky but you make your own luck in those situations, attack the ball and they don't score, it's that simple.
The result, we didn't deserve to lose that one.
The referee was appalling, worst I've seen in years. The foul on McCallum just before half time was a straight red but he bottled it and blew for half time with 45 seconds left on the clock. Too many bad decisions to list here but if ever you want to see a 'look at me' performance, this was it.

Calvin Phillips, thought he was excellent and if we can get 90 minutes of that every week I'll be happy.
Sydie Peck, immense performance today, never stopped battling and he had that little mean streak back.
All round performance was good and gives me hope that if we clean up the sloppy bits we can compete with any team in this division.

You can't win them all but despite being calm on the outside I'm fucking fuming that we lost that one. I hate Wolves, I hate their fucking 'Yoroight miyt' accent and I hope the trains go on strike and all their fucking coaches break down.

Unfortunately as has been discussed at length, we lack any sort of pace or skill in the final third. Seconded. And all their cars have had their tyres slashed, the drivers window put through and their stereos nicked. And a police horse and four police dogs have had really bad diarrhoea at the exit to the away end, and they've had to wade ankle deep through it.

Two bang average teams. Broke into a game of football for 20 minutes second half. Deserved a point but defended too deep as usual last 10 minutes. It was coming.

Let’s face it, deflected cross, shanked pass, scuffed finish. Couldn’t have had more bit of appealing technique fall nicely for them.

Still would like to know why he didn’t give their lad a second yellow. It would have been 11 v 10 for 36 minutes at that stage.

I absolutely agree with the red card, but it's maybe swings and roundabouts with their penalty shout.

Not sure how we were ever going to score today. Possibly just one player with a bit of pace or guile could have made a difference....but no the Wilder way is to fill the team with half fit aging players....because we need experience....everywhere.

I thought Kitchen was excellent today but for me Wilder's tactics were always damage limitation much like Carlos Carvahal played when the pigs got a 0-0 victory on the return derby after we hammered them 2-4 at the sty. Point proved when Rothwell came on rather than Donovan late on.

hmmmmmm Diaz looks like hes towing a caravan. I think his injuries have took a toll on him, when he cuts in, it offers nothing. If he is on his natural side at least he could protect the ball better and get the cross in.
Sydie Peck back to his best kinda performance, tbf the middle 3 did well, jus think we lacked pace on break was perfect game for Ty Campbell Cannon or Donavon to stretch game second half wilder didn't see it like that

The big con was the last 15 minutes. It was a completely even game, yet we decided to try and hold off and they tried to win. Why? So so frustrating, I’m not saying we needed all out attack but just like Cardiff and swansea it was US that decided a draw was enough and the other team that was going for it.

So frustrating watching your team play for 20 minutes with ‘I hope they don’t score’ it never seems to be ‘I hope we score’. That’s a pure mentality issue. I’d say from the manager but ofcourse players are not blameless

We brought on both Ayew and Cannon and had three attacking players up front.

There are two teams though and they also had quality additions to bring on.

I don’t see how the intent to have a go can be criticised when we finish with Ayew, Bamford and Cannon on the field at the end.

From 64 mins when he made those subs we were all over them for about 10-15 minutes.

They just had more quality in key moments.

Completely agree.

Against the really tough teams we perhaps go 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 and against the more winnable teams 4-3-3.

Let’s hope we cultivate this further in the cup and away at Stoke.

Peck, Ayew, could have moved Choudury into his natural midfield position, loads of options rather than bringing Rothwell on which makes us retreat 10 yards FFS

I'd have taken Bamford off for Donovan either him or Ayew could have played midfield or up front with Cannon. Rothwell was the wrong sub to make all it said was hold on for a 0-0

We definitely miss Seriki. Not sure we can miss a player who we haven’t really seen (One). We did this a few seasons ago when RND got a long term injury after a few promising displays, and everyone lost their heads as all of a sudden he was our missing piece.
