Mark Howard's saves

Some fantastic saves but one or two were going wide/high, not taking wot away from the saves, better save (pun intended) than sorry

There's no denying, he's had a fantastic start to the season and carried on his good form from last year. I do however remember thinking against Crawley, he'd got his angles all wrong and their striker was going to simply roll it in the bottom right hand corner. Fortunately he seemed to have some kind of panic attack, scuff his shot wide and Howard was able to to get a touch on it to save it from going out for a goal kick. ;)

Think that was the McLeod shot into the Kop end. To be fair, Howard's 'presence' may have made him panic, much like Neuer does with Germany.
Only saw the goals on telly, but he looked a bit suspect for West Ham & Peterborough's goal?

You know times are bad when we have Howards saves to watch rather than August's goals.....

I remember the video they did of our goals last September - all 2 of them!

I thought Howard might have done a bit better with the Peterborough goal - though Collins was more at fault and McGahey gave away the corner needlessly - but the West Ham goal was just one of those things - long ball drops just right for a forward as you come out, and it's over you.

He's done ever so well each time I've seen him this year. Credit to him and to Clough for making the change last year.

As for the McLeod chance - sometimes you don't know if you have it covered...

Howard had his hand pulled back as he was going out to claim the Peterborough corner. A definite foul, although we'll never know if he'd actually made the claim.

It was the black right winger, Bobson Bawling who is only 18 that had the chance of placing the ball to Howard's left, not McLeod
