A sad day indeed.Announced
Fuck him - he’s dead to meThe clubs so big he says about Wrexham hahaha
Not “silly money” as Wilder mentioned it’d take to sell our best players. These owners want stringing upFor o hare
That's the problem with selling to venture capitalists , as one of them said early on if you are going to fail, fail fast , which they have done , now it's onto the next investment opportunity for themNot “silly money” as Wilder mentioned it’d take to sell our best players. These owners want stringing up
Disagree. £7m is a very good fee.Had our pants down
One hundred per cent!On the positive note I can now say he dresses and speaks like a bell end
I said that after he scored in playoff semi and wore those ridiculous earrings , got absolutely hammered on here for it , but at the time it was only Ollie burkes dress sense we could laugh atOn the positive note I can now say he dresses and speaks like a bell end
I'm not a fan of this move in the first place, but leaving us scrambling around at the last minute is appalling. Happy to eat my words if we have a replacement lined up, but it is like doing your Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve.It’s a very good price, but timing is everything.
it is like doing your Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve.
Don't forget we gambled in 2024-2025 and took out a loan on the following years parachute payment, Bettis confirmed this in an interview last year. So we didn't even technically have a parachute payment last year, we were just paying off the loan.Been out spent by Lincoln, even they have spent £8m. We’re up £25m in transfers, this season.
The last year of parachute payment is roughly £18m, take into account the 14 players that left, the wage bill will also be much lower. Looking at those numbers Selling O’Hare just makes zero sense, it’s austerity on steroids. Something big is coming in the background, I’m not comfortable with it.
We’ve raised more on sales than we would have got parachute payments last year.
From the Star. Callum's explanation why he went to Wrexham.
"The club's so big and well known, and I just really wanted to come here. I'm so excited to get started,” O’Hare said. “I want to help the club go in the right direction and hopefully get what everyone wants – promotion to the Premier League.”
Wrexham are so big and well-known?
Really?
Promotion to the EPL with Wrexham?
Really?
Money talks I guess, Callum.
This is the most angry I have ever been about a player he was every inch a Blades player and loved playing at the Lanr and he knew he was loved by our fans.Absolutely gutted.
My favourite Blade of the current bunch.
Great mentality, great work ethic, decent technical ability. By all accounts great to have around the place and you can see that from the hype and encouragement and instructions he was bringing to others in every key moment, goal celebration etc.
As we improved over the last few years again, as part of the Hecky era, and then as we looked to rebuild following relegation... I wanted two players in this era, Hamer and then O'Hare. I felt properly fucking indulged at one bitas though the club were listening to me. Then, I can't help but feel that we never utilised them individually, or as a partnership to their full potential. And it's so fucking infuriating, and now here we are. Brooks/Seriki partnership disbanded, Hamer/O'Hare partnership disbanded. How have we managed to fuck that up so much.
The O'Hare sale is also indicative of so much more than Callum's departure directly.
Its yet another sale to another divisional rival. Its the sale of our player of the year, whilst still two years under contract, our greatest presser, model pro, with the greatest work ethic and mentality, that led what little discernible style of play that we had. It shows a lack of resources, planning, backbone, ambition. It's utterly pathetic.
And to fucking Wrexham, no less. Imagine spending your prime in Wrexham and in their fucking shed of a ground.
They can get to fuck.
And most importantly, these owners can get to fuck.
They are a better proposition than we are
Whether we like it, and them or not, they narrowly missed out on playoff, something we weren’t close to, they have added to the squad, have real backers and are on the opposite trajectory to us
They played Liverpool in a friendly in New York.
We played at the New York
