Can he play at RB?If we moved for Reyes Cleary, then that's a different kettle of fish.
I believe he can play a few positions.

I need to stop but its just so insane it's fascinating to try to understand his logicDon’t argue with stupid mate, I have given up
Can he play at RB?
What has that got to do with who was responsible for our recruitment last summer? You cant just shout wilder whenever you cant respond to a point I make. The owners also brought Wilder back - good or bad decision?
Your exact point was "The owners brought in Poker Man for recruitment! They've proven they can't make good decisions!" - they made the decision to bring back Wilder. Is that a good or bad decision? What has that got to do with who was responsible for our recruitment last summer? You cant just shout wilder whenever you cant respond to a point I make.

Also - January of the 92pts season and last January, they backed Wilder with the targets he wanted. Does that fall on the owners, or on Wilder?
I just want to understand wants a 1919 decision, and what's someone else's decision as it seems to change every few minutes
Agree pal, I would welcome 3/4 years of just building something worthwhile again. Feels like WBA have just realised it too after years of buying has beens. We’re about 2/3 years behind them.I can’t see it can you?
And you know what, I think this season it’s a trade off. They’re trying to get some experienced pros in to make sure we stay up.
However, it’s going to harm the club in the long run.
We are now no longer a parachute club, so we don’t have a financial advantage anymore. Non-parachute clubs are reliant on finding players that either come in on the cheap and impact the first team enough to take them up OR make a big profit on so they can help support the club and sign the next batch of players at the same time.
We are signing players and assembling a squad that’ll will do neither of those things. We won’t be good enough to go up and no one we are bringing in will go on and provide us with a profit because their best days are behind them.
Wolves fans said Doherty’s legs had gone, he was slow and unavailable. He plays 60 odd minutes against Blackburn, isn’t able to start the next game in Seikis absence which forces us to chuck an inexperienced young lad in out of position. We then have to go out and look for another right back - so we go after a 28 year old defensive midfielder who Leicester can’t wait to give away, so he’ll never make us owt either.
if they’d come out and said ‘we are now no longer a parachute club, we need to cut our cloth and work on a 2/3/4 year plan’ and proceeded to look at young players, with high ceiling and potential re-sale value then I think a lot of the fans would have been slightly disappointed but see the bigger picture and been patient and reluctantly accepted 2/3 season of mediocrity for the greater good. We just don’t seem to have a plan for anything beyond this season
. At all.
No it wasn't. My point was they are obviously responsible for recruitment from last summer which was an absolute car crash. Your response is they brought Wilder back. Nothing to do with what im talking about.Your exact point was "The owners brought in Poker Man for recruitment! They've proven they can't make good decisions!" -
To be clear you're the person who doesn't blame our owners for our recruitment last summer when Wilder wasn't here.I just want to understand wants a 1919 decision, and what's someone else's decision as it seems to change every few minutes
You think recruitment last summer was better than it would have been with Wilder? Jesus weptI think the owners for the most part have backed Wilder and likely to the detriment of the club in some ways.
We most certainly did not need to spend the money we did on Cannon. Also, had they not sacked Wilder it would have meant last summer he would have had the best part of 20 million quid to piss up the wall.
And I quote:No it wasn't. My point was they are obviously responsible for recruitment from last summer which was an absolute car crash. Your response is they brought Wilder back. Nothing to do with what im talking about.
That is you, saying that the Owners made the decision to bring in the Poker bloke. That is you saying that the club are responsible for the decisions they make in regards to recruitment. I asked you when you originally made this point "Bringing Wilder back: good or bad decision?" And you are still yet to answer me. So I'll ask again - do you trust 1919 to make decisions?Right so the club aren't responsible for who they put in place to do recruitment?
You blame the poker bloke. WHO DO YOU THINK BROUGHT HIM IN?
They are to blame for hiring Poker Man. They aren't to blame for his recruitment decisions. To be clear you're the person who doesn't blame our owners for our recruitment last summer when Wilder wasn't here.
What's Wilders track record with decent transfer budgets? You think recruitment last summer was better than it would have been with Wilder? Jesus wept
Correct. You've literally proven exactly my point. They were responsible. I haven't answered on wilder it has absolutely nothing to do with how well the owners have done on recruitment. Again, just shouting Wilder whenever you've nothing else to say is means nothing. That is you, saying that the Owners made the decision to bring in the Poker bloke. You've ignored some key points there mate, so I'll ask them again here for you:Correct. You've literally proven exactly my point. They were responsible. I haven't answered on wilder it has absolutely nothing to do with how well the owners have done on recruitment. Again, just shouting whenever you've nothing else to say is means nothing.
Eric is right though you're too stupid to debate with
I think you think that if I say I don't trust them to make decisions you've proven that Wilder coming back must have been bad. Go and Google a broken clock is right twice a day and have a fun few hours trying to grasp it.You've ignored some key points there mate, so I'll ask them again here for you:
- I asked you when you originally made this point "Bringing Wilder back: good or bad decision?" And you are still yet to answer me. Do you trust 1919 to make decisions?
- Who's to blame for January 2024's recruitment? Or Jamurary 2026's recruitment? Or Summer 2026's recruitment?
No, I don't think that George. This isn't me doing some weird "Gotcha" moment. I just want to understand what qualifies as a good and bad decision to you, and why - because I can't fathom the duality you have.I think you think that if I say I don't trust them to make decisions you've proven that Wilder coming back must have been bad. This all came from me asking if you think recruitment has been good under these owners which you do. You've made it about Wilder as always.
You think recruitment last summer was better than it would have been with Wilder? Jesus wept
No I insult when you just avoid the points on purpose. Deliberately misrepresent what I say and make totally irrelevant points to avoid answering anything. No, I don't think that George. You're also an incredibly petty and bitter bloke when someone doesn't agree with you, often resorting to insults. It's okay to disagree - that's part of football!
You still haven't answered my points. Is it safe to say you don't have an answer to them?
No I'm not a WUM at all. I argue in good faith and I explain why I think things. That's literally not what I said was it?
You really are a WUM.
I thought this implied it would have been worse. I think it's very reasonable for me to have thought that but if not ok.had they not sacked Wilder it would have meant last summer he would have had the best part of 20 million quid to piss up the wall.
Or, of course he doesn't go?If Callum goes we are going to find it near on impossible to get a replacement in before tomorrow night - unless we have one already lined up?![]()

So to be clear I've taken that quote as you implying recruitment would be worse under Wilder. That's why I asked the question. Not being a WUM. Not trying to twist your words I've just taken it to mean that
OkI am just saying Wilder is no better with a large sum of money available to him.
I think you insult because you can't argue George - you're a petty child who doesn't understand the points he's making beyond "Wilder good!"No I insult when you just avoid the points on purpose. Deliberately misrepresent what I say and make totally irrelevant points to avoid answering anything.
Again - Jan 2025, Jan 2026, Summer 2026 - who's fault?Your points are just your usual anti Wilder stuff. The facts are he left us having finished 3rd with 92 points. The recruitment since has been an absolute shambles and has left us in this position. How anyone could argue that I don't know.
Where have I said the owners have done well recruitment wise? I said they hired someone to do the recruitment for them, and that outside of who they hired, it doesn't fall on them. You not only claiming it's not the owners responsibility, but actually saying they've done well shows your knowledge/agenda.
Please - if you're going to insult me, be creative. Comments about my intelligence don't really work, considering you argue like you have 2 braincells fighting for 3rd place. If you can figure out the clock analogy you have your answer. Good luck you'll need it
But they can offer us and him stupid money. Tests how much we want to keep hold of assets that we don't have to sellOr, of course he doesn't go?
Wrexham aren't exactly a career high point, even with Hollywood backing!
What if they said we’ll give you a generous fee for O’Hare and if you accept well clear be path for you to get Souttar.
What would you do?
