I see he scored the first goal in Sabah’s 5-2 win over H Be’er Sheva and he will now be playing in the Champions League.

How fortunes change - can’t get in our first team and will now be playing against some great teams in some great stadiums! Let’s hope we got a big fee for him.

I thought that was him on the BBV highlights show.

Someone I know down at the club said that he really struggled with his fitness during his time with us.

Because he’d not had the same youth career as a lot of footballers at this level it was hard for him to get used to the intensity of training & matches without breaking down with muscular injuries.

I remember reading that Tony Agana had similar issues having come from non league. Didn’t have the long term condition for top level football.

Fair play, as I’ve said previously, there are some interesting routes into European competitions now, playing in leagues where the competition is not as intense in other parts of Europe allows players those routes.

They have to go through the qualifiers through the summer but the reward of champions / Europa / conference league proper will no doubt bring them up against some of the best in Europe. Pafos FC have experienced this in the last couple of years facing the likes of Bayern Munich and Chelsea in last years Champions League.

Because their domestic leagues don’t have as many games and those games don’t have the same intensity of the premier league or German league, so they can focus more on the European games.

It’ll be great exposure for him and perhaps suits him better

Without sounding bitter, even the Faroe Islands teams get to play in Europe.

Good for him that he scored. But I’d imagine if United played in their league we’d piss it and I doubt the opposition were all that good.

We’d literally seen him on training for months. I can’t imagine Wilder and consat there thinking “he’s an absolute world beater this kid, but I’m not picking him as I don’t want to make James Bord look good!”

I saw him, and I think Donavon, play in the same game a year ago.

Know which one I would rather have this season off the back of his start for us...
