Possible Hamer replacement.

He would be similar to Hamer being a playmaker rather than conventional winger.

He ticks some interesting boxes.

Though he’s Spanish he came through the City academy and was with them through U18, U19, U23 and made four appearances for the first team.

He’s played in Natherlands (Breda), Spain (Gijon, Alaves), France (Toulouse), Greece (Aris) and most recently in the US at Kansas City.

What is particularly intriguing is that he only just negotiated his departure. He played in their penultimate game on the 2nd of August and was unused sub on the bench in their final game on the 16th of August, so he’s been infill tome training until the current week. So he’s isn’t a free that needs to get massively up to speed.

His goal contribution at senior level is around 77 (23 g 45 a) in just a shade over 300 matches.

Linked with a return to Greece but available now and would have no issue settling in UK as he’s already spent his formative years here.

Only just become available so one of those you’d have to engage quickly. Rated at 4m on Transfermarkt so no mug.

Anyone have more insight on him?

It's a very out there signing.

He's been about a bit but clearly had some good spells which meant he even got 1 Spanish app.

I would hope we are still targeting good LM options on loan but everything seems clouded right now.

Could be an option. Can't see it ever happening. A trial first would make sense.

My thoughts simply that if we are resigned to frees and loans then we have to monitor the market like a hawk.

He’s literally just released and match fit. How many can boast that on the free list?

At least get in there early. By all means bide your time with loans, but not frees.

Yes he might just return to Aris, but an offer to return to UK, play for a big club in a position where he can pretty much play all season if he does well, it would be a consideration for him.

Better than just going for a tired (not tried) and rested 6/10 performer.

A lore more excitement for him than say Ryan Kent.

If you’re making a case for looking at Anis Mehmeti then surely there is a case for this guy?
