It seemed to me,at the time, that it was one of those games we were destined to win. I knew from that point we'd go on to dominate English football for the next 50 years.....
Actually, another memory from that day was a decent middle-aged Leeds fan (the only one??) telling us (me, dad and brother) outside the ground to hide our scarves as we went through a group of Leeds fans in case they were grabbed. Happy days....

Probably is Bill Anderson, Lincoln's longest serving manager who did play for United in the 30's

Sad but true. But I love my club regardless. It’s all I’ve known.

Yeah, I guess they would be called bedwetters now.

We lost 0-3 at home to Bury on the opening day of the 1900-01 season after finishing runners up of Division One the season before. Hence the card.

Not good enough, United!

1900-01 was also the season was lost the FA Cup final replay to the non-league Spurs.

Again, not good enough!
