Has anyone thought about it might be mind games being played from wilder with him saying hamer not engaged in contract talks with us .... maybe hinting to him we will sell u if U don't ect ....I have heard so many times he's happy with us ect ...got mates who see him most weeks shopping at Aldi in dronfield and they say he's always happy n chatting with them ....I know press are saying bids rejected ect ...but there maybe a outside chance he signs a new contract???

I have heard similar since I work out in Dronfield.

With how somewhat irked Wilder was in the presser I doubt he is bullshitting on this one though.

No I totally agree but maybe it's his agent not him not wanting to engage in talks hoping for big money ect ...but wilder might be using the bids as point to get them to think about talking ect

Respect? Yet again you are on our forum, clown. I know cov is that boring but surely you have something else to do, like go and play on a motorway.

Some years ago on here, I remember somebody posting something similar to this, might have been those exact words, actually. The poster the remark had been made to, later posted to say that one of his children had tragically lost their life in a traffic accident, and that he had PTSD as a result of this. This poster made a plea for everyone to think before they post, because you never know the personal circumstances of people reading your posts.

Point being, I know the Coventry fans on here can be irritating, posting childish nonsense and cluttering up threads in which we're trying to discuss things that are important to us, but this part of your reply to one of them went too far. If they're irritating you enough to prompt you to post something like that, it's probably better to just ignore them, rather than posting something you might later regret.

If and when he's sold no one will know for how much ect ....if the star n Danny hall are saying stuff who really believes it ....the club n cov will be the only ones who know...even when sky report player sales at any club they don't really know they just pluck a amount out thinking it's correct....

No suprise.

The line about the money not going towards the Aussie is interesting as we obviously have SOME money to spend on a defender unless we were offering Leicester chocolate buttons

This is the price of failure, the owners have put alot of money into the club but they have failed on a number of accounts. Over paying for Cannon, buying players from their mate, sacking Wilder, over paying on every player Selles wanted both on transfer fees and wages. We cant say they haven't put money in, they've just used it in the wrong way and this was always going to happen we the parachute money ended. We still have a strong first team and can probably still afford to lose Peck and Borrows from that. But it's the strength in depth that's the issue and that will ultimately end in failure again.

Exactly what have we been bidding with monopoly money?

I don't regret it. It wasn't meant to be taken literally and stop being supercilious. If you didn't like it, YOU didn't need to comment.

Assuming the figures quoted are accurate we still need to generate another £15m to enable us to break even on last years O/ head cost which required £35m of parachute money etc. to fund.
Wilder state in his recent press conference that we were relying on loans and free transfers, but surely if an opportunity arises we will act
Didn't realise last years accounts had been released yet.
