It is worth pointing out Wilder alluded to us not getting the right fee then he won't go.
Listen, with the prices at YWP, just buying an ice cream alone is a sign of a recent or incoming windfall.did he have a flake? could be an indication of an imminent sign on bonus.
Club are just going to have to wear this one and accept £5m-£6m. We’ve taken advantage of other clubs players being in their last year, now we’ve just got to be pragmatic, do the deal asap and move on.
Don't we still owe Coventry £4m?He’s been the stand out performer in this division the last 2 seasons.
We should be getting what we paid for him AT LEAST.
Don’t think so, not seen one source in the media claiming this.Don't we still owe Coventry £4m?
Short memories!!!!Thanks for Gus Back, done you over a barrel aswell with the fee.
Enjoy Bolton away.
CW indicated that we are unlikely to to get what we paid for him 3 years ago. He’s been the stand out performer in this division the last 2 seasons.

…and who has given us 3 years of value. No one is paying what 15million? for a nearly 30 year old who struggles with their fitness and isn't likely to change.
Genuinely think we’ll be better off without him, I’ve said it for years. He’s unfit, undisciplined and gives the ball away in dangerous areas. People ignore this because he can score the occasional great goal or provide a good pass. It’s a good job Coventry got promoted and have some attachment to him, otherwise we’d not be able to sell him.
Thanks for Gus Back, done you over a barrel aswell with the fee.
Enjoy Bolton away.
Free bus from Piccadilly, drink round Salford, jump on train there to Horwich Parkway, sortedBolton away is a decent day out.
Watching Coventry getting shredded week in week out would also be fun.
This is where football is a matter of opinions. I presume you think he didn't deserve to win our player of the year in the 23/24-year, Championship player of the year 24/25 and be in the pfa team of the year 24/25.
Deluded springs to mind.
Who do you think we will replace him with then?
Sooner go to Bolton than the shithole non descript Coventry. Thanks for Gus Back, done you over a barrel aswell with the fee.
Enjoy Bolton away.
What have I said that’s deluded? When he was out of the team last year, we saw our best run of results. I suppose you’d say that’s a coincidence.
You can’t argue he’s unfit or undisciplined. He looks overweight, can’t do 90 minutes, looks like he’s blowing out of his arse after 60 minutes and gets lengthy suspensions every season.
We’ll probably replace him with an athletic winger on loan from a premier league club, I’m all for it.
As for him being the player of the year 23-24, the bar wasn’t high was it, Jack Robinson was runner up!
Go on then will take a little bite.... "done you over a barrel" presumably meaning "to place them in a helpless position where they have no choices left and must do what you want"Thanks for Gus Back, done you over a barrel aswell with the fee.
Enjoy Bolton away.
The offer accepted was 15m with a sell on clause of 15%. There's one last payment due soon of 3.75m.We are yes. When we made the payment, it was spread out through his contract so e.g. if we bought him for 10 million on a 4-year contract, we would give them 2.5 million a year. Now he is the last year we owe them that final year.
Definitely weirder than the pigs theseThanks for Gus Back, done you over a barrel aswell with the fee.
Enjoy Bolton away.
Enjoy your moment in the sun. I think we did you at the time with the fee for Gus too. So it's swings and roundabouts. Thanks for Gus Back, done you over a barrel aswell with the fee.
Enjoy Bolton away.
Incorrect no more payments are due. But if that was the case we would only have paid 11.25mThe offer accepted was 15m with a sell on clause of 15%. There's one last payment due soon of 3.75m.
If you call petulance, ill discipline and snide no need for fouls: aggression I agree with you. Unfortunately the guy behaves like a petulant school boy who we turn a blind eye to as he can be a brilliant footballer, but surely so much better if he did not pick up stupid bookings and giving the ball away in stupid areaswhat teams did we play against?
Hes unfit yes i agree, but he has always been a bit agressive. Thats what gives him that edge. He has a bit of fight in him!
Yeah great shout! lets get a winger on loan from a premier league team to develop him and then he goes back at the end of the season. Pay his wages and we get no returns whatsoever!
As in the premiership season 23/24? Anel Ahmedhodžić? Vinícius Souza? If we didn't have Hamer, we would have been a laughingstock and finished bottom rivaling derby for their points total
As I've said before deluded pal.
If and when it happens Hamer wouldn't be 1st choice in midfield. We've just spent nearly 50m on 2 midfielders. 1 of them is getting announced any minute. His best position is CM/AM. It's our strongest position. They're doing the billy big bollocks tact of "Buying him still for squad depth and to come off the bench"
