Cannon, Chong & Rothwell should be nowwhere near our starting 11. Baptiste either but hopefully he has a breakthrough season. What a sad indicator of how far off it we are now, this group looks very average & uninspiring.

I fully agree. A squad that was miles off it last season, add to that a young unproven kid from Brentford and an OAP from Wolves……. I do worry we’re in for a bleak soul destroying season

Rothwell absolute dogshit, ponderous, predictable, lazy, not one ounce of inginuity - on the other hand Gus looks a million dollars - God help us if these clowns sell him for 5 million. We look slightly better than an absolute awful awful Rotherham.

Plus - Selling Brooks was plain stupid.

Poor quality opposition but you can only beat whats in front of you. Hamer looking sharp and dropping deep to hit long passes. Rothwell and Reidewald pedestrian in midfield.

Chong took his goal well but should have had another as should Ohare. Cannon anonymous. That team had no height up front or at the back meaning we were lacking at set pieces. Baptiste tidy but his lack of inches alongside an equally small Tanganga means we will struggle at the back. We have to bring in 2 tall dominant centre backs as a bare minimum.

Absolutely not knocking him mate, think he’s look fairly decent from what I’ve seen & really hope he has a big season. It’s just a big ask for him to step up & play regularly at Championship level is all.

I’d much rather have more Baptiste / Peck / Brooks / Oné’s in the squad rather than the average/aging players with little upside.

I’m hoping the introduction of the likes of Bamford and a fully fit rejuvenated Blaster along with Peck will see a side more competitive in what could well be a difficult season

A quality CB will improve the spine of the team and is a must imo

Have to bear in mind the level of opponent and it’s a preseason but he looks just as capable as Bindon and more solid than McGuinness. Full season of lg1 last season seems to have done him the world of good.
