My expectations are incredibly low.
I fully and wholly expect the squad to have a net weaker quality by the end of the window. I think we are where we are now, and despite a period of relative recent success and added income, we don't have much to show for it now. I think we're intent on downgrading to a middling side that can be plucky, rather than competing at the top end of the table.
I think we will hold on to what 'better'

players we have and build around who we have, rather than adding any marquee signings and established quality.
Cooper - Tanganga +1 - Jairo +1 - Bamford/Cannon is your spine.
We might bag a few young loanees or a few freebies to supplement the squad, we might be relying on Wilder motivating his squad, grinding out a few results, seasoned pros having a good day, maybe Hamer smashing in a worldy, if he's still here. Fine margins, to win matches and being in with a sniff of playoffs at best. Mid-table at best, with a hint of pluckiness. Certainly not one of the powerhouses in the division. Your best players and any quality are already here, we won't be bettering what we've already got, and it's now more a case of how many we lose along the way.
