Monday 13th - Zero players
Hang on ,
It's only 5 minutes since Wilder said publicly that the squad was bloated.

And we've now got no cash.

So we are SELLING !

What gave you the idea we might be recruiting ?

Squad is having a haircut , in line with the budget for 26/27.

Still no sign of players

At the risk of sounding like a clapper Id go with what we have now(one exception) if it means not losing anybody else. The exception is a big hard CB whom I'm going to call Souttar

Cooper
Seriki Souttar Tanganga McAllum
Donovan Peck Jairo Gus
Bamford Ohare

Leaving Davies Campbell Cannon One Rothwell Blaster McGuiness Burrows Chong Shackleton in reserve

Now that isnt a bad 21 players and if we sell Burrows then maybe the Everton lad comes in for no fee. There are a few obvious depth weakness issues but thats going to be true of most Championship sides.

TBH I think a good chunk of the division is going to be aiming for 8th and calling it a good season if it happens.
I think ATM that we are in that bracket of teams with that squad you listed, but with the proviso that the match fitness problems of last season are fixed,an injury crisis doesn't happen, and the discipline on field improves from last season.

Ffs we’ve had a load of new players and their agents rock up at the lane today to sign, but the shutters are down and doors locked with a hand written note “gone to Spain, back in a few days text us. Chrissy”

And it looks like someone forgot to cancel the milk as well

Coleman? It actually astounds me how fans have some weird fetish for recommending players who are basically retirement age.

Im not recommending him at all, hes been training with us so hes clearly on our radar.

It actually astounds me how some fans have a weird fetish thinking we will spend money on a back up left back

Things aren’t looking promising right now, but Hull got promoted last season. Most fans across the league would say we possess a better squad than them. The difference is that they have leaders like Egan, McBurnie and Crooks. We don’t have any.

Hopefully we pick some good frees and loans in the next week or two. Sell whoever doesn’t want to be here. In Wilder we trust.

Their owner has come out and said they have a 200m budget; 130m for fees and 70m for wages.

Let’s see if they come anywhere near that.

Hulls owner is a bit of a daft one and has struck real lucky this season. It's kinda just all aligned for them in ways that rarely happen.
That said he even saw fit just over 12 months ago to release Selles. So he does have some sense.

Because their heads are stuck in 2016 - 2019. Covid broke their sense of time passing. To them these players are in their early 30s and can still do a job and Chrisseh has just won the LMA award.

If Birmingham and Wrexham had stopped fucking about with shit managers and us, Norwich, Leicester et all hadn’t had abject seasons Hull would have been nowhere near.

Just like Leicester winning the prem it had to coincide with half a dozen teams shitting the bed at the same time.
