I had hoped we might see something a bit different, some progression, but championship clubs will just need to dig out last season's notes because nothing has changed.

There are absolutely no tactics. Just a bunch of decent footballers on the pitch together being left to their own devices.

I know it's only pre season but we look like we're going nowhere fast there is nothing to get excited about.

Disappointing second half after a promising first in which Donovan and Seriki were the stand out players. Its pre season. Its all about getting match fit but the same pedestrian passing game where players opt to walk the ball into the net rather than get a shot off persists.

For the second game running we bring on a left back to play wide right. Just dont understand the logic of this as it negated Serikis effectiveness going forward. Campbell looks physically better than he did. A fit Campbell would be a useful asset. We have to hope he doesnt break down again.

Nothing new in terms of style of play or tactics. The Star oracle suggested Hamer would play deeper this season but he was out on the left again today.

Onto Spain.

was the opposite of last years friendly. that shouldve ended 7-4

we were good defensively Chesterfield rarely created much. but attacking wise we were shocking that we got nothing despite creating so many chances, Hamer, campbell Marsh & sachdev? shouldve all scored. if it was that it was trying to play an extra pointless pass

i think it sachdev, how can you be surprised the ball came to you, when your in a acres of spaces 18yds out

Decent workout,not really not expecting too much 2nd game into the pre season.
Thought Femi & Donovan did ok,Arblaster and and Rothwell were tidy in the middle,and Burrows did ok as did McCallum when he came on.
Got a bit scrappy 2nd half,and the final ball shot wasn't there,but loads of changes don't help...Shame Marshy had just too heavy a first touch after great pick out by Mclinchey.
