I really like PA. He's honest and genuinely loves the sport, but he got out as he said he couldn't afford it anymore. But I'd rather have him back involved on some level than these cowboys who clearly just bought us for a PL payday. Why can it never just be simple for us UTB

I heard last year when there was previous instalment issues that he was interested to come back on board.

No idea if that’s the case still and I suspect the payments will be made eventually, but I’d have no problem with the prince coming back on board, but it would always come down to having investors ready to put money in

I remember when he left there were stories going round that he was looking for another club/wanting to keep a stake in us.. then lately stories about him coming back.

I’m ambivalent about it but the new guys seem out of their depth.

I find it hard to believe that 2 relatively successful american businessmen have totally cocked the job up maybe if they had listened to Tom paige rather than an AI specialist things may nave been better

I never disliked the Prince. I thought he always tried to do what was right for the club and tried to move us forward. Didn’t always agree with everything he did, but he seemed to want the best for the club and installed people to take care of business with more expertise than him.

Financially he was never quite able to bring in investment to make those next steps and ran us close to the limit at times, some would say gambled.

But I never had a bad feeling about him as I’ve had with this COH lot.

100% I would’ve renewed my ST if Prince was still owner

The biggest question on this would be whether other investors can be attracted if the Prince is involved.

Someone put earlier (maybe on Shoutbox...) that not being paid, is a loss of face in the middle east.

culturally, could it work?

It depends how well they can sell him a plan. If they come to an agreement where they pay him £20m for example, he gets a stake in the club and they can grow it and then sell for more, he would go for it. But think on their past 18 months, they don't seem to be able to sell a plan (to us or to potential investors)

The princes decision making was overall pretty good in a football sense. He didn’t have the wealth to take us forward.

As a chairman with money backers behind him i reckon he’d do a good job.

I know you are joking but…

The guy used his own family home as collateral against one of the signings (McBurnie I think because McCabe didn’t want to spend that much on one player)

He then later has the house mortgaged up when he gambled on taking us up under Hecky.

That takes some balls to do that in the money pit which is football and must have been seriously stressful for him.
