It does feel like the squad has a few placeholders for obvious new signings:

Baptiste, Zatterstrom - obvious first pick centre back, more experienced back up though it could be an audition for one of them to become the 4th pick.

Blacker - either Peck really doesn’t go or a new CM.

Giggs / McClinchey - deputising for O’Hare and Chong but also highlights a gap left by Brooks.

It looks like 4-2-3-1 for both halves which is a little disappointing as it means we will go ahead with the same formation that is Brooks but be resigned to replacing like for like with less money.

We're playing fine but everything is a bit slow and the formation doesn't really work, Marsh should be more of a link up player and One up front rather than One on the left and Marsh the furthest forward most of the time.

Early season its a work out. Cooper is back which is a big plus. Arblaster looking fit again. Tanganga at the back solid. A few easy chances missed but the quality of the oppostion is poor. Must be one of the shortest back fours we've put out for some time.
