Not disagreeing, but I think if we move McGuinness on, we need someone of a similar height and build to replace him.

Bindon, at 6ft 3, is our tallest defender, if we have no McGuinness. Baptiste and Tanganga are shorter than Bindon.
Whilst I would agree we need a commanding centre half it should be noted that Wikipedia lists baptiste as 6ft 1 which isn't exactly short and is an inch taller than tanganga. And as my missus always tells me an extra inch can make all the difference 😉

In the case of McGuinness it's his height which is sometimes his disadvantage as he is a clumsy arms and legs fucker at times

I know what you mean, and I am not saying 6ft 1 is small, just that in the modern era, it's not "tall".

Marsh has add a difficult 2 years with injuries and that has held him back.Falkirk like him and hopefully he can finish the season back in their squad. He will be back with us next season and hopefully push on,l really like Marshy we have to get a tune out of him. The talent is there.
Yes, he's someone that should have been given a chance but the likes of Cannon and Blaster seem to get preference. Not saying he is a brilliant goal scorer or a class midfielder but to not give a Sheffield lad who's come through the ranks and scored loads in the u21's a chance, well! We all have our favourites.

Is Marsh fit again or still getting treatment at Shirecliffe?

Baptiste in the training video today, been playing at RUFC left side of a back 3.

I do like the look at him but a lot of time for ins/outs

Only saw one u21 game in the flesh but he was so much more physically suited already than any other player on the pitch. No suprise he was the only one to play a season on loan at a highish level. That experience can't hurt even though Rotherham had a bad season.

Rotherham fans really rated him, a bit of a bright light for them in a shite season.

Wouldn't be averse to seeing how he gets on pre-season. I've been pretty impressed whenever I've seen him play.

At some point you’ve got to feed these guys into the squad.

You can’t just buy players who have been round the block, won’t have a transfer value and will want higher wages.

I’ve not seen enough of any of these but I find it hard to believe that in a squad of 25 where some may be used as emergency, some in cameos etc that not one of Baptiste, Zatterstrom, Buyabu, Sachdev, Sasnauskas, Ukaki, Nwanchukwu, Marsh can at least fill some of that requirement.
