Agreed and I can't see Hull matching or increasing on his current salary - even though I do have him down as a footballing mercenary.

He'll 100% follow the money. He's displayed that time and time again, running his contract down with Genk and then us, release clause / contract structure at Burnley resulted in a sale when they were relegated, always securing a higher paid job elsewhere. Fair play, most would do the same.

He is very good friends with John Egan. Would highly doubt if that is enough reason to make him want to have to go to that shithole everyday though.

Don't disagree really, but he could have pushed for a move from us to secure a higher wage when we were in the Championship.

Don’t see why he’d want another relegation on his record and hoping another prem team wants him after it when he’ll be on decent money at Fulham and plays.

Been at Fulham for almost 2 years of a 5 year contract. Played 35 times last season, starting 34. Doubt VERY much he's going to Hull.
Exactly, if you took the Hull (location part out of the equation) and think realistically, at Fulham he is a good player in a decent side (steady mid table/potential push for lower European competitions) if he goes to Hull, he will be a marquee signing which he doesn't excel at. He was relegated with Burnley as such, and as one of the better players in a side he is top end championship player/relegation PL. If he has a decent set-up around him it gives him time to excel as he is starting to do in a decent Norway side. Hull have been promoted too soon in their development they have a championship squad, very much like we did under Hecky's promotion after we were stripped of our 2 better players, personally if I was Hull, I would use the money to reinvest for a stronger championship side and when they get relegated, you have the parachute payments to make the bounce back up. Plus the Championship in 27/28 is likely to be less strong as probably going to have Hull, Ipswich and possibly even Coventry and not the likes of West Ham etc.

Bit like the guy he would replace at Hull.....Lunny is one of the biggest mercenaries going!

Something profoundly depressing if Hull start spending £80k per week on signings first season in the PL, whilst we were offering Bernie Traore a quarter of that and a VIP parking space at Atkinsons.
