Will we be stealing this one off Motherwell?

Plenty of doom and gloom knocking around on here this afternoon so I thought I would try to bring a tad of positivity back. He was supposedly behind the rest of the team fitness wise but Cloughy threw Higdon in for his debut and in all fairness he started really well, he looked a real threat and he got up to put a set piece away on his debut. He faded out which was probably down to his fitness levels but never the less he gave us plenty to get excited about.

This is what Motherwell fans sang for him, if he carries on knocking it home for us will we knick this one or make or own?

That said those Scots has higher pitch voices. I know it isn't about the singing but I can see us Yorkshire folk with our beer guts struggling with those higher notes hahaha

How many years ago ?

How many Kilos ago ?

Unconvinced in the extreme he is the answer. Henderson mark II.

I truly hope I am wrong

Higdon may do ok as a target man if he gets fitter, but we are crying out for a pacey central striker who can go past a defender / beat the offiside trap / get in behind a defence. I think Higdon may work if we play 2 up front - but NC seems unwilling to play 2 up front very often.

Higgy Higgy Higgy, OY OY OY.
Higgy, OY, HIggy, OY,
Higgy Higgy Higgy OY OY OY

Just thought he ought to have brought on Porter second half,
Too many changes too soon, don't do a Weir Nigel....:(

Got to love Sheff Utd fans.

"We need a striker who will score goals!"

We buy a striker, he scores a goal.

"Don't like him, find another one"

I did not say I don't like him

If he scores 20 goals I will personally kiss his arris

What I have said is that today, IMHO, he was poor. There may very well be reasons for this and also to genuinely believe there is a lot of improvement in the lad due to lack of pre season/ fitness etc.

I remain unconvinced as it stands.

Yeah fair enough, personally I was happy to see him get a goal today when he's clearly not fully fit, and based on his style of play I expect he'll grab us a fair few points this season from set plays and so on - although he'll be hoping last seasons Flynn and Murphy will show up at some point rather than the strangers we saw today!

Liked what I saw today. Touch, power, height, intelligence. If he had pace not pies he'd be awesome. :)
