Welcome Positive Nigel
After finishing the previous season strongly and making some astute summer signings (Unsworth, Gillespie, Short and Shipperley) didn't we start off with Leicester at home and after about 70 minutes we were struggling even at 1-1.
Then Warnock made a triple substitution I think and the rest is history. Our squad now has the same feel about it as the one then. If we are now struggling at 70 minutes the options are limitless with Baxter, JCR, Davies, McNuts and Porter likely to be on the bench. Warnock's side two different looking midfields.
The 1st half of the season we had
Ifil Monty Jags Quinn
2nd half
Quinn/Ifil Jags Tonge Armstrong.
I think with an extra dimension upfront (bring someone in with pace) this team could have quite a few looks as the season goes on. it might not be pretty to begin with and we might struggle to get the car out of the garage, however there is enough talent that a formidable team should evolve.
Does this season remind anyone else of any other season?
