If you agree that he is not worth that then we have got more than we thought :)
I propably worded it wrong,i was actually agreeing with patrick suffaux.I was saying we don't normally get more than a player is worth and in this case we have.

That all points to a major falling out between Clough and HM. Maybe the earlier fallout was correct and Clough has decided to get rid?

And if so then good riddance. Another player who after being given a chance walks out at the first opportunity.

It seems very odd that Clough was quoted as saying in today's Star we won't be bullied by Hull.

Apart from The Stir being a total rag, 'today's Star' was probably printed on Friday.

Andy Giddings "boss NC told me that ideally they'd like to get 2 new defenders in. They will futher enquire about John Brayford this week."

Now here's a real test. NC will know intimately the details surrounding JB at Cardiff. Is it a sop to the fans? A bit of 'flu' or 'sunstroke'? Only time will tell.

What's probably happened (but, like HMs fee, well never get to know) is that they've bought this bloke from Arsenal and pressurised both United and HM - 'That's our final offer. Take it or leave it.' This ultimatum will have come before the Dundee game, thus putting HM in an untenable position. 'If I don't go now, the ship has sailed.' Cue sunstroke.

Whatever, good luck Harry and thanks for the memories.:harrymaguire:

And if you were offered the opportunity to go up two divisions with a healthy pay rise to boot, wouldn't you?

Yeah, I also think 3 years at a 3rd Div club is a good stretch given there's always been some "rumoured interest" or other. How long should we insist a player stays? (and a Wednesday fan at that.. :))

Whatever happens this season he was nailed on to at least play Championship next season.

If the rumours are true about his strop then I'm glad he's gone.

Anyways thanks for the memories Harry and I'm sure we will see you next year in the Championship.

To my mind a well motivated and keen HM has a different value (playing wise) for SUFC than a hugely unsettled and want-away one. I personally doubt he would have won player of the year for the coming season if he had stayed because he clearly appears to be unsettled and less committed. In the circumstances we are better off capitalising on him by selling - hopefully for a decent sum (though I doubt we will ever find out how much we actually got).

Just imagine if Bruce comes out and says i'm not bothered now after his supposable chat with his chairman

He won't be able to do his medical though,he still has sun stroke, its the biggest bout ever.;):D
as I've said previously I think that comment was a dig at Harry. I'm reading that it was his excuse for missing the meal.

Harry wants away, perhaps it was self declared sunstroke.

Get the money and move on. I don't want anybody wearing the shirt if they don't want to be a part of my beloved club, long term their loss, although his bank balance will suggest different

looked class last couple of seasons, still only young, good luck to him. im gutted we're going to lose him but that's life.

will be great if we get the beard, even on loan which is more likely than perm.

Harry will take a lot of replacing not just in defence but at set pieces for his goals.

Does anyone think that we asked Hull for 'x' amount up front, Hull finally said ok, thinking we'd turn them down again and then baulked when we said yes?

Seems 'the fee' was agreed just how it's paid and as we've seen Hull do like a bit on the never never...

There are however three things to consider;
1. This is the Daily Mail we're quoting here
b. This is the Daily Mail we're quoting here
iii. They (as in The Daily Mail) quote him as being Sheffield United 'captain'........

It's all smoke and mirrors, six and two threes, as has been said it is how we use the funds that will count....

Not like you to be so far behind, swiss..... C-
In fairness I've paid little attention to the rumours bids and rejections over the summer and I've hardly glanced at this thread until I saw confirmed. But I noticed that there were recent articles on hull's stance.

In all honesty I find the whole summer of football soap opera and transfer rumours extremely dull. Football seems to be all about who's staying and who's going. If he goes he goes, if not then he needs to knuckle down with the side.

All I can say is thank goodness for cycling, the Olympics, F1 and commonwealths to make the summer of sport more exciting.

The problem is cash converters want 100000000% APR

It's Harry's life and it's only right he should decide what he wants to do with it.
Anyway anything over the initial 1,500,000 has to be a bonus if you consider what we paid for the Blackpool lad and the rest of our signings...
