You'd never have believed it years ago when we were beating Bolton and Parkinson looked like a dinosaur in comparison but it just goes to prove who the best coach is when the field is levelled in terms of players at a coach's disposal.

Parkinson has done really well and he's still building, although I wouldn't want him as my manager as he's unlikeable and a miserable twat. Wilder is getting worse and worse in terms of game management, substitutions, and his distorted view of some of the players at his disposal.

It's been getting worse for some time now and he needs to go, but there's no point unless he takes everyone from Bettis downwards with him. Clear out all the Wilder sycophants, abandon the 'Sunday League' mentality, and start again with an experienced DofF and a clear vision and a professional culture.

I didn't go today as I thought I knew what was coming and I'm not renewing next season for the first time in many years. I'll always want us to win but I'm thoroughly sick of the 'Cult of Wilder' attitude that now defines us as a club. If others want to keep buying it, than fair enough, knock yourselves out.

Just prepare for another league failure and get a few quid on us to lose in the first round of both cup competitions. It's the Wilder way after all. I mean, who else could possibly manage us and 'get the fans'.

Seasons of mid table mediocrity are a reality now for this season..next season and beyond..we wont be good enough to challenge next season..looking at the quality that will be coming down from above.

Wembley 1-0 up..should have been more.....that game has been looped..another example today.

Apart from anything else, in that great (and it was) Wilder side and era, he not only put together/stumbled upon a great balance and system which worked perfectly for those players, but he had a core of players with amazing character (Basham, O'Connell, George, Fleck, Sharp, Didzy, Henderson). This lot haven't.

Problem starts at the top

Most owners don’t ’know Football’ but they bring someone in who does

Given they running back tail between their legs, and Bettis been up wilders arse

Who challenges and bollox Wilder, no one - no pressure

Get in a DoF, new manager and coaches

See Man U, Norwich, Swansea etc
Even danny hall (Danny Kaye) lookalike who is obsessed with wilder has admitted the tide is turning against him !

Don't agree one jot about Parkinson being miserable and unlikeable, but the rest of your post is 110% true to the core Zeppelin.
I am sure the negativity and realism of the problems will wilder & bettis ,( the boy's club) will filter through to the owners.

Spot on mate, think the away sides pass utds tactics on to each other in the division when coming to the lane, knowing they will outwit Wilder on formations & substitutions! To be outwitted by a dinosaur like Parkinson is embarrassing ffs!
It happens too many times Tj,we got lucky last season. As my cousin said today at half time “you know what’s going to happen don’t you “,and hey presto. Parkinson has done really well with them and his brand has improved but this championship is a shocker this season and we are lumbering about closer to relegation. But hey ho the management followers are happy.

I'm not sure Parkinson did much tweaking to be honest, he didn't need to. Once we scored we decided to sit back deeper and deeper and invite them on, at first I think they were surprised by that and it was only when they realised just how shit we are at it that they got more adventurous as they knew we'd shot our bolt. Not gloating but I have a decent sized TV (courtesy of Costco loyalty points) and there were times when they had the ball in the centre circle and there were none of our players in the picture. We camped in front of our box inviting them on and we all knew that any ball in our box would cause pandemonium. We simply can't defend.

They should have scored first half with the free header and both goals were fucking howlers from a defenders point of view. They were easy to defend and very few teams would have conceded at this level, let alone twice. Ball watching, no one taking charge, standing off and allowing them space. Fucking criminal!

We have bad players and equally bad players on the bench. We have a manager and his assistant, ex defenders at that who don't know how to stop this happening. We got beat by a very poor side who didn't have to break sweat today, that's on us and no credit to them at all.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

Got no other words than that.

If he doesn't tear strips off them in the post match he wants to fuck off with them as well.

Weak, meek and absolutely pathetic. I've never seen a more fragile side at the lane and I've seen us nearly go down to league 2.

Shouldn't he be tearing strips off himself?

They shoved up ,the right back advanced,as we had 1 up front,o’Brian and his mate went a little more forward, but as you say,we are masters of our own downfall. Apart from a few players i dislike this squad so much and how it’s managed, why we get in front and then sit back is beyond belief,we got away with it last season and he still persists with it this.as for his constant flogging to death of Andre Brooks,it’s criminal. As I’ve said,he’s had 30 odd games to get it right but 17 of those have been league one stuff. Wilder mark 1 is history and our supporters are still thinking he’s the only one.

So Parkinson outsmarted Wilder twice this season…But in all reality, none of us would want Parky in our dugout…So it begs the question. Would any other club in this league want our manager in their dugout?

Let’s be honest, Wrexham were wank.

They competed for every ball well but their football was shocking. Hope to win the second ball and then lump it down the channels.

Fucking caught us out going to sleep at the back twice.

We should have buried them by 60 minutes but as per we are so fragile and totally ran out of gas.

It wasn’t a Parkinson masterclass by any stretch. Just same old nesh weak bollocks from United.

Thought I was going mental - exactly as I saw it.

We did win the % of tackles battle, the only stat that we were weaker in - simple channel balls that we let in too easy. Tanganga letting the man get to it too easy on one side and Burrows (possibly Bindon) letting et another cross into the box.

Opposition managers know there’s no danger in pushing their back line higher up the pitch because we have no one with enough pace to exploit balls over the top.

We have about as much pace as an OAP,it’s not been addressed for yonks . The midfield has no pace, only Seriki in the back line has pace. It’s like watching in slow motion.

We need a fundamental rebuild of all aspects of the club, top to bottom. I would be perfectly happy to have two or three seasons in the wilderness while that takes shape too prepare us for a better future.
I would like to agree with that but!
Spend a few more seasons in the Championship and we will get lost in the jungle which is the Championship.
At least with the play offs being as they will next season! Gives us a better chance of getting out at the right end.

Not wishing to play 'Billy Big Bollocks' but I know someone who knows Parkinson and apparantly he is a very unpleasant man!

God knows what level of negativity we would read on this site if we had been relegated!.
Anyway a bit of positivity from me!
I will be re-newing as ever!
Up the Blades!!!

Parkinson didn't win the tactical duel. We faded out of the game, there's a difference!

Yeah this is right. They didnt play well we just dropped our level as usual and paid price
Only team I've seen all season that id actually call good was boro but even then they've been exposed when you take their space away

Agree with you on the rebuild from top to bottom. As for the timing I think Wrexham are a prime example of a club who have shown serious ambition and been very proactive over the last few seasons whilst achieving both on and off field success and growth. Many on here love to slag them off but their owners have done what our so called "businessmen" owners should have done. They have gone out and proactively "head hunted" proven individuals to take the club forward, achieve growth and sustainability.

The likes of CEO Michael Williamson came in in 2024, to lead the clubs strategic direction and infrastructure growth, he has held previous senior roles at Inter Milan, Miami FC and DC United. Also has been Co-CEO of a joint venture company owned equally by Inter and AC Milan being responsible for management, development and operations of the San Siro Stadium.

Shaun Harvey, (non executive director/advisor) former CEO of the EFL (8 years) and Leeds United (9 years).

Ricky Engleberg Marketing - former chief marketing officer at Vistaprint (Wrexham sponors presently) and senior positions at footwear companies Nike and Converse.

Kaleen Allyn extensive experience in investment and finance being part of the US billionaire Allyn family who have also become minority investors in the club.

So a rebuild is possible if COH were to take their "blinkers" off and move away from our present, out dated, backward, "darkages", poor excuse for a football business model.

I'm afraid the present "cabal" at our club will never achieve the COH "pipedream" of "Established Premiership Club".

No prospect of repeating that vibe unfortunately.

It won't - they are "under the bladey spell" and pretty clueless

Looks like we are going to have two or three seasons in the wilderness, so yes, I think you're absolutely right. For God's sake, though, let's take time over it and make a decent appointment, not the farcical situation we found ourselves in last summer. Wilder will keep us as a solid team for a few years yet and keep us safe from relegation, but that time is probably better spent giving a good next-generation manager time to build us up. Absolutely nothing against Wilder, grateful he agreed to save us this season. Only problem is, I'll be buggered if we are likely to actually appoint the right person, so am I being stupid with the "grass is always greener" approach - we could easily end up joining the pigs. Really tough call.
Not sure why people are thinking Wilder can just do a job and keep us safe 🤔. Do you not remember when we were in league one for all those years then Wilder came in a boom we were in the PL. If he gets the right players with the right mentality then, we can get back to the PL. OK it’s just for the money and we would be straight back down but, it keeps us ticking over. Every one has an opinion but, Wilder is more experienced, is a Blade and I’m sure he and his team can do it again!!
