Wilder - Get Rid Now, or After Last Game

What is the success rate for hiring and firing managers after every other month in this division? Obvious one beijg Watford which hasnt't gone well.

…..and who would be your choice as the next manager? Careful now….
Four names

Blessin, still at St Pauli. A tough manager of a gritty German team, in an industrial city that he's done well with, kept them in Bundesliga playing energetic football. The team are incredibly close (connected) to a passionate fan base and he can fetch Jackson Irvine with him too as his captain. I'm sure some massive flags, drums and the occasional pyrotechnics could be thrown in for good measure.

Domenico Tedesco, at Feberbahce. Ex Schalke boss and got them 2nd in Bundesliga.

Dave Challinor at Stockport. I was told (third hand, not ITK!) he was under consideration for our job but signed a contract there instead of here. He can bring Ollie Norwood too although, having seen him play recently, there may be issues with us having to reduce the floodlight luminescence to prevent glare from his teeth, or only play him in day time games. A simple contractual issue.

Skubala at Lincoln is doing an incredible job and playing better football than we do. Imagine, picking up a manager from a lower league who's taken an unfancied team to the very verge of promotion, with inventive, direct, skilfull styles that the fans are loving.

Just imagine that were possible.

Other clubs find and poach (steal) bosses all the time. Well, most do.

A team from THE home of football with recent PL experience should have serious pulling power for a long term project.

Or, we just copy Bodo Glimt. Now that's an exciting side ripping the CL a new one.

Good point yesterday, but the woodwork saved us, I'm told from one who went.

I can't work out if you're being sarcastic or not?
You mean like Wilder did with us in 2016/17?

On the OP, can everyone just accept that Wilder is going NOWHERE for the foreseeable. He was sacked last summer, rather unfairly in my opinion, the board realised their mistake and he agreed to come back, which is an unprecedented sequence of events. They are not going to dispense of his services any time soon. He will be managing us next season, no question, so why don't we all settle down, get used to it and support the team.

Exactly like he did in 2016. The point is that there are others, to answer the question I replied to.

Others up and coming, that could freshen up a squad with a different voice, mindset and new ideas.

One day we will dare to go there.

Always support the team but not blindly and, now, on my terms. More non league and other teams and watch other styles and managers closely too. It's really refreshing.

Then I will have to make a decision about renewing my season ticket for next season.
I am struggling to motivate myself to go to the remaining games and after last Saturday's bore feast the thought of 23 games like that next season is not exactly making me in a rush to part with my money.
This is me exactly. I'm not too fussed about handing over another £550+ for another mediocre season. I know that's not what it's all about as a fan and loyality and all that, but it is frustrating to watch us capitulate game after game. Yesterday's result was very encouraging considering that rediculous red card, but the play offs are now gone imo.

I will no doubt renew as I enjoy the day out with the lad and to be honest, I don't want to lose our seats which we would struggle to match later on if we did let them go now.

For me, Wilder has one more season to get us up or the board will move him on - then what happens 😬

Fckin football eh?

I went through the same emotions when Wilder left the first time but it's turned out to be a great shout.

I go elsewhere now, different grounds and do games at BDTBL when I choose and dependant on what's being served up.

The Lane isn't the same any more.
There's a good few more I know who are working through that process towards seasons end too.

Sad really but nothing is forever, however much it's talked up. if it's not enjoyable it gers sacked off. Life's too short.

Good luck mate 👍

Whatever your opinion on Wilder is it doesn't matter, he's staying till at least next season. Its better to support the lads then moan about him every bad result/performance surely?

Also whilst we have no decent planning in the boardroom I do believe CW is the man we need right now. Its a mess.
